Non-refundable application payment of N2000.00 (excluding bank charges/eTranzact fee) should be paid through eTranzact platform from any bank in Nigeria, where a PIN/Confirmation Code to register is provided after the payment. Consequent upon payment of the specified fees, candidates will access the registration portal with the PIN/Confirmation Codes obtained from the Bank. Upon entering the portal, candidates are to create his/her profile by Click on Register Menu, his/her chosen User ID and Password will be his / her login particulars to complete the registration.
A mail will be sent to the email address he/she provided while registering, go to your email box and click on the link sent there to continue your registration.
Login with your User ID and Password, then Click on Test Registration Menu to enter your Confirmation / PIN code and your details. Do not click on SAVE permanently if you wish to come back at a later date.

11. Your Remita Reference (RRR) number will be displayed (write it down or print invoice)
12. Use “pay now with cards or wallets” payment options (this is the best and recommended option), click on the icon of the card you are using either Verve, Master card, or Visa, then click “Proceed”. NO BANK BRANCH PAYMENT WILL BE PROCESSED.

ASUU Strike: Finally, Lecturers Reach Agreement with FG

The striking university lecturers, ASUU, have agreed to consider federal government’s offer and suspend their strike.

The agreement comes after 12 hours, 30 minutes of a closed door meeting between ASUU and a government delegation in Abuja.

The leadership of ASUU, however, said though it accepted the proposal by the government, it will take the proposal to its members and get back to the government in a week.

Biodun Ogunyemi, the national president of ASUU, told journalists after the meeting that the union will come back after one week to take its final decisions.
“Now we have some concrete proposal that we will take back to our members for consideration,” he said.

On his part, the Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu, said ASUU’s demands have been addressed and the union will get back to the government in a week after consulting with its principals.

The meeting started 1:38pm on Thursday and ended 2:15 a.m. on Friday.

Steps for Online Registration: Post UTME Screening

a.     Candidates are required to pay a non-refundable fee of N2,500 (Two Thousand Five Hundred Naira) only for UTME (service charge inclusive) via the University payment platformhttps://fees.uam.edu.ng

b.     Candidates should print/collect a University of Agriculture, Makurdi UTME screening payment slip containing candidate’s JAMB number as User Name and Payment Pin as Password.

c.      Candidates are expected to register online for the UTME Screening exercise using the Payment Voucher information by filling the UTME Screening Registration Form available on the University website http://entry.uam.edu.ng/utme  (follow the guideline on the website).

d.     Candidates are expected to provide correct information about their candidature on the University portal and make a printout of the online registration form from the University website and come along with it during screening exercise.

The University Portal has three payment options.  The options are:

1.     Internet Banking:  Follow the instruction on our website athttp://uam.edu.ng/Uampay-Details to make your payment on the portal using your bank’s ATM card.

2.     Mobile Banking:    After generating the RRR, logon to your bank’s mobile banking platform to make payment using REMITA if it is available for your bank.

3.     Bank Branch:  After generating your RRR on the university website, copy the RRR and visit any branch of commercial banks (nationwide). Complete the teller using the RRR you have generated and request to make payment on REMITA.

JUST IN: SSANU, NASU, NAAT to Begin Indefinite Strike On Monday

The Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU), Non-Academic Staff Union of Universities (NASU), and the National Association of Academic Technologists (NAAT), have announced their decision to embark on a comprehensive, total and indefinite strike, effective from Monday, September 11, 2017.

At a press conference on Wednesday in Abuja, the Joint Action Committee, JAC, of the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities, SSANU; Non-Academic Staff Union of Universities, NASU; and the National Association of Academic Technologists, NAAT, said the unions will begin a “total and comprehensive indefinite” strike due to the federal government’s alleged failure to fulfil a 2009 agreement with the unions.


The Chairman of Joint Action Committee, Samson Ugwoke, who is also the SSANU President, said the industrial action will begin on September 11.
“Having cleared from our members and got a direction from them, we hereby announce that the JAC of NAAT, NASU and SSANU has directed its members to embark on a comprehensive, total and indefinite strike, effective from Monday, September 11, 2017.
“During the strike, there shall be no provision of services, no matter how skeletal. Concessions shall not be granted while all our members are to stay at home till further notice, unless as directed by JAC through their respective Presidents.”
