FUAM School Fees Payment Deadline [2 Semester ]
Please recall that the management of the Federal University of Agriculture Makurdi had earlier directed that students must pay all outstanding school charges on or before January 15, 2018.


The managements is reminding all student requested to pay their school charges on or before Wednesday, 28th February, 2018.

Only students who have paid all school charges will be considered as bona fide students and will be legible to take examinations.

FUAM Resumption : Management Set To Announce Date

Federal University of Agriculture Makurdi Resumption Date, Management Set to Announce Date. 

Update:The management has officially announced the resumption to reopen the school, information will be on the school website shortly. 

Reporting reaching us from the desk of the Student Union Federal University of Agriculture, Makurdi has a green light in the resumption this weekend, 4th February, 2018

The SU body await the Registra of the institution, to officially declare the announcement. 

The SU through it Facebook page has emphasis that JAC, NASU are still on strike and should members not expect 100% compliance to school amenities. 

Information about the adjust academic calendar will be posted shortly when the information hit the school website.

FUAM Resumption: SU Letter Of Appeal To Authority

Federal University of Agriculture Makurdi Students Union Appeal to School Authority over Prolong Strike. 
Following the closure of the Federal University of Agriculture Makurdi on the 7th December, 2017,  Cause by the impromptu strike action of the Non Academic Staff of Universities. 

Despite the reopen of other federal and state universities nation wide the Institute has remain close.

The Students Union of the Federal University of Agriculture Makurdi on their Facebook page (Students Union UAM) has written an appeal letter to the authority after a brief meeting held today. 

In the letter, the SU is giving the school authority 84 hours to reopen the school again, or face a peaceful protest.

Federal University of Agriculture, Makurdi Registrar Ask Students to Disregard Rumor about Resumption 2018

Following the rumor spreading round the Social Media by some students of the institution, the management of the instution through the Registrar has warn students to disregard any news about resumption, and advised students and parents not to allow their ward to resume at the moment.

This is to announce to students and the general public that the University of Agriculture Makurdi is not opened. The information going round by students about the reopening date should be disregarded. Senate of the University will announce the reopening date as soon as possible.

In view of the aforementioned, parents are advised to kindly keep their children/wards away from the university

Change in Date -FUAM Resumption from Mid Semester Break [See New Date]

Federal University Agriculture, Makurdi Resumption from Mid Semester Break
 

Following the unprecedented mid break issued by the management of the institution, as a result of the NASU strike by the chapter of the Federal University of Agriculture Makurdi. The institution from it Academic Calendar was supposed to resume 3rd January, 2018 to kick start the second semester again.

Information reach us from the Student Union President, state that the school may not follow the initial expected date for the resumption, he added that the reason was because of the on going strike by the NASU. Also that the school authority are deliberating on opening the school next week.

The management of the Federal University of Agriculture, Makurdi is advising underlisted candidates who had applied for Agricultural and Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering and Biochemistry but were not offered admission in their course(s) of first choice are by this notice requested to indicate other courses/programmes of interest as highlighted beside their names.  This is to enable us process your admission please.
  • The affected candidates should visit http://entry.uam.edu.ng/utme and login with their JAMB number as username and 14-Digit PIN as password (14-Digit Number issue upon payment for the previous/just concluded Post UTME screening). 
  • Upon successful login, select a new programme of study. The programme of study should be ONE of the THREE programme options available as indicated against your name.
  • Candidates who fail to effect change of programme appropriately as indicated will be disqualified.
  • Candidate are expected to effect the change of course on the JAMB website to facilitate the processing of such admission.
Note: Candidates are NOT required to make any payment to the University of Agriculture Makurdi to effect the change of programme

FUAM Postgraduate Forms Now on Sales 2017/2018

The Federal University of Agriculture, Makurdi Postgraduate Forms for 2017/2018 Academic Session is Now on Sales
 
The Federal University of Agriculture, Makurdi has began sales of forms for admission into various postgrauate programs for the 2017/2018 Academic session. 


Candidates wishing to apply for any of the postgraduate programs are to follow the instructions for the application procedure. 

Note:
  • Applicants are required to submit two (2) copies of the completed form to Postgraduate School with their academic credentials attached.
  • Applicants must arrange for thier academic transcripts to be submitted at the Postgraduate School before closing date for sales of form.
    • To find out about the admission requirements, click on the Requirement tab to view general requirement for the various degree programs offered by the University. The details of requirements for the programs are at the department website.
    To apply for any of the available programs, click on the How to Apply tab. You will be guided through the process to ensure your application is submitted for consideration. You can also track the state of your application at any point in time after submission.

     Postgraduate Diploma
    1. Graduates of the University of Agriculture, Makurdi or other recognized Universities in relevant areas.
    2. Holders of Higher National Diploma (HND) with minimum pass at credit level or equivalent in relevant areas from recognized institutions.
    Degree of Masters:
    1. Candidates who possess a Bachelor's Degree in relevant areas from University of Agriculture, Makurdi or other recognized universities with a minimum of Second Class Honours.

Candidates with Third Class Honours Degree or HND (in relevant areas) with appropriate Postgraduate Diploma of the University of Agriculture, Makurdi or from other recognized institutions with minimum CGPA of 3.5 (or at least Upper Credit in the Postgraduate Diploma). In addition, the holders of HND, PGD/PGDE Certificates should satisfy the basic School Certificate or GCE Ordinary Level entry requirements (credit in five relevant subjects) for admission into Bachelors Degrees of the respective departments.

    3. For M.Sc. Environmental Science, graduates with good honours degree in any of the following disciplines are also qualified: Natural Sciences, Science Education, Relevant Agricultural Sciences, Engineering, Environmental Science, Health Sciences, and other Relevant disciplines from University of Agriculture, Makurdi or other recognized institutions of higher learning.
    Degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph. D.)
    1. Holders of Master's Degree of the University of Agriculture, Makurdi or other recognized Universities with a minimum CGPA of 3.50 on a 5- point scale provided that satisfactory research work formed part of the degree.

    How to apply

    • Create an account online by providing your emails and chosing a password (if you have not done that previously).
    • Upon creation of account, a unique application number will be issued. Copy the application number in a save place (Do not delete the email that will be sent to you). It is your reference number through out your application.
    • Make payment of non-refundable fee of N15,350 online using your debit card (MasterCard, Verve) or generate your RRR on the portal and visit any branch of the Commercial banks nationwide
    • A comfirmation slip will be issued to you containing a 14-digit unique number as Payment Identification Number (PIN) which will enable you continue your application. Please ensure this number is on the slip printed for you before leaving the bank.
    Creating your account
    • To create the account, enter your Email Address. This will be used as your user name. We will also use this email address to contact you regarding your application.
    • Type in the security code (case-sensitive). This helps protect our online application service.
    • Enter your password. Select a password that is easy for you to remember, but is not obvious to others.
    • It must be at least six characters long, and should contain numbers and letters.
    • Finally click the "Create Account" button. You will be asked to confirm your password.
