As was already stated by the registrar, the use of Cyber Cafe's for registration would not be done this year. Only accredited Computer Based Test (CBT) Centers. He urged all candidates to do their registration in any of the 718 accredited CBT Centers. This is done to minimize the excessive extortion of money from the candidates.

The period for the registration will last for a period of 6 weeks.

HOW TO REGISTER FOR THE 2019 JAMB

The process of registering for Jamb has been made easy. To proceed with your Jamb registration, simply follow the procedure outlined below:

Create a Jamb profile. This is very important; you cannot proceed with the registration unless you have first created a profile.
You are to complete the online application form by supplying the required details such as name, e-mail address, L.G.A., academic qualification, etc.
At the CBT center, data such as your finger print, passport and other information will be taken to be used for your registration
Also, during the course of the registration, you are to provide your O-Level result. If however, you are yet to see your result, you are permitted to use Awaiting Result (pending when it is released)

Note:
To create your Jamb profile, simply text the following details to 55019
  • SURNAME
  • FIRST NAME
  • MIDDLE NAME
When the above detail is sent, you will receive a ten digit code (your profile code). This code is what you will then use to purchase the application document at the point of purchase.
After this, a form e-pin will be sent to the candidate via SMS.
You are to present this e-pin at any of the accredited Jamb CBT centers for registration
Below is a PDF containing all the accredited Jamb CBT Centers.

If your result status is still on "Awaiting Result" you are expected to update it as soon as it is released.
Do not forget to collect your Novel after the registration as you would need to study this for the examination.
After the registration, remember to collect your e-slip, this slip contains very vital information which wold be required before or during the examination. The slip will serve as an evidence that your registration has been completed.

See JAMB New Method for 2017/18 Admission Process

    14:18:00 0

Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, JAMB, has introduced Central Admission Processing System (CAPS) for the 2017/2018 academic session admission process.

The Registrar of JAMB, Ishaq Oloyede, at the 2017 Combined Policy Meetings on Admissions into Tertiary Institutions in Nigeria, said a Central Admission Processing System, CAPS, will be used to streamline admission processes among institutions, as it addresses challenges associated with the former approach.

The admission process is now automated with direct involvement of the registrar of JAMB for final approval.

Mr. Oloyede also said that Institutions could conduct dual mode system which involves both manual and the newly introduced CAPS.

The new policy is expected to make provision for a ‘market place’ in the JAMB portal where institutions can go and ‘request for students in Nigeria who score their cut off points.’

These institutions will write to JAMB to request for the students and also give them (students) three days to respond. Also, only three universities can request for a candidate.

The new system is such that institutions can only admit those who meet their cut off points. A certain admission officer who was in attendance affirmed that if a candidate fails to meet the cut off mark, that student would certainly be denied admission irrespective of the candidate’s connection.

Also, the policy intends to make provisions for candidates to accept and reject any admission being offered to them.
