UNIOSUN 2017/2018 Supplementary Admission List Out – [UTME-Direct Entry]

This is to inform all UTME and Direct Entry applicants of the Osun State University that the Supplementary Admission List for 2017/2018 academic session is now available online.
All candidates who are yet to be admitted are advised to re-check their names via the University Admission Status Portal.


All admitted candidates are hereby directed to pay the sum of Forty Thousand Naira (N40, 000.00) only as Acceptance Fees for the Provisional Admission offered.

Payment of the Acceptance Fees is by the UNIOSUN WebPAY platform through the use of Interswitch enabled Debit/ATM cards (Verve, Visa and Master cards).

The deadline for the payment of Acceptance Fees is January 15, 2018.. 


Any candidate who fails to complete the Acceptance and other necessary registration on the portal on or before the deadline will FORFEIT the Provisional Admission offered

The Osun State University (UNIOSUN) is inviting suitably qualified and interested members of the public to her 2016/2017 academic year pre-degree programme.

UNIOSUN PRE-DEGREE ADMISSION – GENERAL REQUIREMENTS.

Candidates must possess O/L, SSCE (WAEC), SSCE (NECO) or equivalent with a minimum of four relevant credit passes in subjects which must include English Language for Arts; and English and Mathematics for Sciences and Social Sciences. Candidates with deficiencies in their ‘O’ level results will be considered; but such candidates are, however, required to make up for any deficiency before the 2017/2018 UTME admission exercise.

COMPLETION OF UNIOSUN PRE-DEGREE FORMS.

Candidates are to register on-line by accessing the University website:http://www.uniosun.edu.ng or directly on the Pre-Degree Portal athttp://pds.uniosun.edu.ng to complete and submit Application Forms. Candidates are also expected to print two (2) copies of the application form after submission. Each candidate is to bring along a copy of the application form on the day of the screening exercise. The second copy is to be submitted on admission to the Pre-Degree programme of the University.

Visit the UNIOSUN Pre-Degree Portal via http://www.uniosun.edu.ng orhttp://pds.uniosun.edu.ng. This will take you to the online Application Platform. Ensure you read all registration guidelines and instructions before proceeding to register. Payment of Ten Thousand Naira (N10,000.00) for the Pre-Degree application is through the UNIOSUN WebPAY using Interswitch enabled Debit/ATM cards (Master Card and Verve)

Following the release of the Osun State University, UNIOSUN merit admission list, the management of the university announced the commencement of the  payment of acceptance fees.
All admitted candidates are hereby directed to pay the sum of forty thousand naira (N40, 000.00) only as Acceptance Fees for the Provisional Admission offered.

Incredible! UNIOSUN Student wins best Engineering Award
A student of the department of Civil Engineering, Osun State University, Osogbo, Adeyemo Kazeem Adekunle has emerged the winner of the 2016 edition of Council for the Regulation of Engineering’s Award for the overall best student in the State-owned Universities in Nigeria.
The Chairman of Committee of Deans of Engineering and Technology of Nigerian Universities (CODET), Professor Emmanuel Ajav announced Adeyemo of Osun State University as the winner of the award and lauded UNIOSUN for the outstanding achievement.
The award was presented to Adeyemo at the 25th edition of COREN Assembly held in Akure, Ondo State between 8th and 10th of August.
An amiloaded correspondent present at the event reported that the winner received a plaque with a cheque of one hundred thousand naira (N100,000).
The source also stated that COREN presented a laptop to the Faculty of Engineering, Osun State University as a symbolic means of appreciation for producing the student.
Speaking on the feat of UNIOSUN during the COREN Assembly in Akure, the Acting Vice Chancellor of Osun State University, Professor Oguntola Jelil Alamu expressed delight and assured that the university would not rest on its oar.
It was also revealed that Adeyemo Kazeem Adekunle was the overall student for the 2013/2014 session.

UNIOSUN Graduates 51 First Class Students

Osun State University, UNIOSUN produced 51 First Class graduates in 2013/2014 and 2014/2015 academic sessions.

The Acting-vice chancellor of Osun State University (UNISOUN), Prof Oguntola Jelil-Alamu, said out of 3164 graduates produced by the university, 51 graduated with First Class degree.
Prof Alamu, who made the disclosure at a pre-convocation briefing in Osogbo, said the First Class graduates emerged from six Colleges of the institution during the 2013/2014, and 2014/2015 academic sessions.
According to him, while 27 students bagged a first class honour for the 2013/2014 session, 24 students had first class in the 2014/2015 academic session, making a total of 51 first class students.
Alamu Talking:-
“The citadel in its tradition of excellence in teaching and character modelling had been able to produce intellectuals that were making wave all over the world. We remained focused, and committed to full implementation and evaluation of the University 2012-2016 Strategic plan.
“Since the last convocation ceremony in 2014, Osun State University has continued to make progress in teaching, research, community service, physical and infrastructural development. The 2014/2015 academic session witnessed the resuscitation of Entrepreneurial Training for the final year students, in line with the mission of the university.
“I am delighted to inform you that most of the graduants will be collecting two certificates by the end of this ceremony- Bachelor’s degree certificate and the Entrepreneurship skill set certificate,” Alamu added.

Ogbeni Appoints Folorunsho Alakija as UNIOSUN Chancellor
The Governor of the State of Osun and the visitor to Osun State University, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola has announced the appointment of Mrs. Folorunso Alakija, as the second Chancellor of Osun State University, Osogbo. The pioneer Chancellor being His Imperial Majesty, the late Ooni of Ife, Oba Okunade Sijuwade whose five year tenure lapsed in 2014.
The appointment, which according to a statement by the Governor’s spokesperson, Mr. Semiu Okanlawon, takes immediate effect and will be for a period of five years.‎
Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, while congratulating the new Chancellor, said Mrs. Alakija’s antecedent and sterling qualities as a God-fearing woman, a person of honour, integrity and successful business woman would no doubt impact positively on the running of Osun State University.
The Governor also pointed out that the Government of Osun would look forward to a great working relationship with the new Chancellor as she leads Osun State University, Osogbo, to a new height of excellence.‎
In her acceptance letter addressed to the Governor, Mrs Alakija said, “It is with pleasure that I receive and accept the appointment as the Chancellor of the University of Osun State. I pray for God’s grace and strength to execute my duties as Chancellor of the University during my five-year tenure.”
Mrs. Folorunso Alakija is a businesswoman who has forayed into uncharted territories. She is a philanthropist with a sincere desire to help the needy, an icon with an infallible sense of style, a loving wife, a caring mother and doting grandmother.
Educated in Europe, she first embarked on a career in office administration and later went into banking where she remained, until she took a leap of faith and followed her creative calling to establish her own business.
The investiture of the second Chancellor of Osun State University will take place during the forth- coming Convocation ceremonies of the University.
About FOLORUNSO ALAJIJA
Mrs. Folorunso Alakija is a businesswoman who has forayed into uncharted territories. She is a philanthropist with a sincere desire to help the needy, a fashion icon with an infallible sense of style, a loving wife, a caring mother and doting grandmother, a friend in deed. Educated in Europe, she first embarked on a career in office administration, then she went into banking where she remained, until she took a leap of faith and followed her heart and creative calling to establish her own business in the Nigerian fashion industry. She oversees the Rose of Sharon Group as the Group Managing Director and she is also the Executive Vice Chairman of her family’s oil exploration and production business, FAMFA Oil Limited , seeing to its strategic planning and day to day administration. In addition to these, Folorunso is the Executive Vice Chairman of Dayspring Property Development Company Limited, a real estate company with investments in different parts of the world.
When reflecting on her achievements, Folorunso’s foremost reaction is always to give glory to God and to share the secrets of her success. A born again Christian since 1991, she draws her strength from her unfaltering belief in the power and glory of God. With a sincere desire to give to those in need in the name of the Lord, her philanthropic endeavours, such as the Rose of Sharon Foundation, continue to influence her native land positively by empowering widows and their families, as well as orphans, to be successful through educational programmes and scholarships. In obedience to the word of God and working according to His will and purpose, Folorunso and her husband founded a house fellowship which has grown to become a full-fledged Christian Ministry known as the Rose of Sharon Glorious Ministry International. She has authored several books including, “University of Marriage”, “Alone with God”, (a free Christian Devotional) her autobiography, “Growing with the Hand that Gives the Rose”, and “The Cry of Widows and Orphans”. Osun State University, UNIOSUN fresh students matriculation numbers are now available online – 2015/2016 academic session.

This is to inform all the 2015/2016 academic session newly admitted students of the Osun State University  (UNIOSUN) that the authorities of the institution have announced that those who have completed their online registration can now check and print their matriculation numbers online.
To check and print your UNIOSUN matriculation number, simply visit www.uniosun.edu.ng/student/view_matric.php. All you would be required to provide is your JAMB registration number.
Note:
1) Only Fresh students that have completed their online Acceptance Clearance and have made full payment of their tuition fees are allocated Matriculation Numbers.

UNIOSUN IJMB Admission List
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the Osun State University (UNIOSUN) Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB) programme for the 2015/2016 academic session.
Osun State University (UNIOSUN) through its Centre for Human Resource Development and Lifelong Learning (CHRDLL) in affiliation with Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB), Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria invites applications from prospective and qualified candidates for admission into 2016/2017 academic session.
The Programme is designed to prepare candidates for consideration for DIRECT ENTRY ADMISSION to 200 level of regular degree programmes through the Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB) Examination.  It will be another opportunity for candidates who cannot gain admission to regular degree programmes in Nigerian Universities for one reason or the other.  The following are the available Programmes for which candidates can be offered admission after passing with acceptable grades the Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB) Examination.

UNIOSUN IJMB – Admission Requirements.

Candidates seeking admission into Osun State University (UNIOSUN) Interim Joint Matriculations Board (IJMB) Examination must possess five (5) ordinary level credit passes in relevant subjects including English Language.  For candidates pursuing courses in Sciences, Engineering, Management and Social Sciences, credit pass in Mathematics is compulsory in addition to English Language from any of WASC, NECO, GCE or NABTEB obtained at not more than two sittings.

Procedure for UNIOSUN IJMB Admission.

Prospective candidates will apply online via www.uniosun.edu.ng and the form will be processed accordingly. Candidates will further go through a screening exercise. Successful candidates will have their names published on-line and through SMS messages.

UNIOSUN IJMB Admission Method of Application.

• Visit the UNIOSUN IJMB portal via http://www.uniosun.edu.ng or
http://chrdportal.uniosun.edu.ng. This will take you to the Online Application Platform.
• Ensure you read all the registration guidelines and instructions before proceeding to register.
• Payment of N10,000.00 for the UNIOSUN IJMB online application form is through the UNIOSUN Interswitch WebPAY platform.
• Complete the online application form, print and bring the printout along with photocopies of your credentials for all examinations taken, on the day of screening exercise.

Qualifications for UNIOSUN IJMB Admission to 200 Level.

For candidates to be admitted to 200 level, they must
• Possess five credits in relevant subjects at O’ Level;
• Apply through the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) by obtaining the DIRECT ENTRY FORMS from the JOINT ADMISSIONS AND MATRICULATION BOARD (JAMB)
• Pass the Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB) Examination.
NOTE: The Programmes will be run at Osogbo (Main Campus), Ikire and Okuku campuses.

UNIOSUN IJMB Admission Screening Exercise.

Screening of candidates will take place on Saturday, 7th November, 2015 at the Main campus, Osun State University, Oke Baale, Osogbo. All candidates are expected to arrive at the screening venue by 10:00 a.m.
