BOWEN UNIVERSITY GENERAL ENTRY REQUIREMENT.

(i) UTME
(a) All applicants are required to sit for the 2017 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME)
(b) Applicants are to complete the on-line application form by visiting Bowen University website at http://www.bowenuniversity.edu.ng
(c) All applicants are required to have credits at SSCE, GCE, NECO, NABTEB or approved equivalent in at least five (5) subjects, which must include English Language and four other subjects as may be specified by each Faculty.
(d) The five credits should be obtained in not more than two sittings.
(e) For Medicine and Surgery (MB;BS), Nursing Science and Physiotherapy programmes, the five credits (including Mathematics and English) must be obtained at only one sitting.
(f) Candidates awaiting results may apply.
(g) All applicants will be required to go through Bowen University Screening Exercise.
(h) Interested candidates who will apply to JAMB for admission and wish to change their choice to Bowen University are required to:
1. Apply for change of institution through JAMB
2. Complete the Bowen University On-line Application Form
3. Participate in the Bowen screening exercise.
(ii) DIRECT ENTRY
All applicants for direct entry must satisfy any of the following:
(a) NCE at credit level, ND and approved equivalents with at least Lower Credit in relevant fields.
(b) At least two Advanced Level passes at acceptable grade level.
(c) The Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB),Joint Universities Preliminary Examination Board (JUPEB) or Cambridge moderated School of Basic Studies at acceptable grade levels.
(d) In addition to NCE/ND/IJMB, JUPEB or two Advanced Level papers specified by each Faculty or programme, candidates must also satisfy the Ordinary Level requirements.
(e) HND holders may be admitted to 200 Level or 300 Level depending on the regulation guiding admission into each department / programme.
All direct entry candidates are required to apply through JAMB.

HOW TO APPLY FOR BOWEN UNIVERSITY POST UTME/ADMISSION SCREENING.

(a)       On-Line Application
To complete the application online:
  • Visit Bowen University website http://apply.bowenuniversity-edu.org/?in=1 to create an identity (Pre-Registration).
  • After the pre-registration, generate a payment invoice with your unique transaction ID for the sum of Ten thousand Naira (N10, 000) only as application form fee.
  • Then, proceed to Quick teller page to make payment online.
  • Payment for on-line forms through Banks – After generating a unique transaction ID through the University website, applicants may proceed to any of the following banks with their transaction ID to make payments: Skye Bank, Sterling Bank, Diamond Bank, First Bank, Guarantee Trust Bank and Zenith Bank Plc.
  • Upon confirmation of payment, proceed to the School Admission page “apply.bowenuniversity.edu.ng/apply to log in using your already created username and password in order to complete and submit the application form.
  • Upon successful submission, print out your acknowledgement card and profile.

(b) Off-Line Application Forms
  • Application Forms may be obtained from any of the Application Form Sales Centres indicated in ‘H’ below upon the presentation of a non-refundable application fee of N10, 000.00 (Ten thousand naira) only in bank draft payable to Bowen University, Iwo from any of the following banks: Skye Bank Plc, Diamond Bank Plc, United Bank For Africa (UBA), Guarantee Trust Bank, Sterling Bank Plc and Zenith Bank Plc.
  • Candidates must indicate their names and addresses at the back of the Bank Draft.

(a)       On-Line Application
To complete the application online:
(i) Visit Bowen University website http://apply.bowenuniversity-edu.org/apply/register_apply.php to create an identity.
(ii) On the resulting registration confirmation page, click on the button labelled Proceed to Pay in order to gain access to the account you just created. You may then proceed to generate the unique Transaction ID for your application form fee payment. Ensure that you print out the Fees Payment Slip which contains the steps on how to make a proper payment.
(iii) Pay a sum of Seven Thousand Naira (N7,000.00) only as application form fee using your ATM Card/Quick teller options at any bank of your choice.
(iv) Upon confirmation of payment, an applicant is to use his/her unique identity (Email Address & UTME No.) to complete and submit the e-application form via the Bowen University website.
(b)     Payment for On-line forms through Banks
(i)  Applicants may also pay through any branch of Skye Bank, Diamond Bank, First Bank, Sterling Bank or Guaranty Trust Bank after completion of steps (a)i and (a)ii above (if unable to access an ATM Card/Quick teller option to complete the electronic transaction):
N.B.: You must insist on having a BranchCollect teller officer to process your payment as any random deposit (without a generated Transaction ID) will be voided.
(ii) After payment, a confirmation will be forwarded to the applicant’s e-mail which will be utilized to access the on-line application form.
(iii) Candidates who are unable to make payments through the above medium may come to the examination venue with their bank drafts obtained from any of the banks stipulated above.

Authority of the Bowen University, Iwo, Osun State has released the amount payable as fees by undergraduates of the institution for the 2015/2016 academic session.

Bowen University School Fees Structure and Payment Procedure.

• The Non-Refundable Fees by the New Students in Category A1 are expected to be paid through the procurement of Bank Draft in favour of Bowen University, Iwo.
• For students in B.A. and B.Sc. Programmes, all Fees and Levies in A1, B, and C must be fully paid at the beginning of the first semester while a minimum of N300,000.00 must be paid from the Session Fees (A2) in the First Semester before Registration.
• For students in the Law Faculty, all Fees and Levies in A1, B, and C must be fully paid at the beginning of the first semester while a minimum of N500,000.00 must be paid from the Session Fees (A2) in the First Semester before Registration.
• For students in the Medicine and Surgery Department (Pre-Clinical), all Fees and Levies in A1, B, and C must be fully paid at the beginning of the first semester while a minimum of N600,000.00must be paid from the Session Fees (A2) in the First Semester before Registration.
• For students in the Medicine and Surgery Department (Clinical), all Fees and Levies in A1, B, and C must be fully paid at the beginning of the first semester while a minimum of N900,000.00must be paid from the Session Fees (A2) in the First Semester before Registration.
• All students in Levels 300, 400 and 500 in Biochemistry, Food Science, Chemistry and Industrial Chemistry will pay an additional N25,000.00 annually as bench fees for laboratory consumables.
• The balance of School fees (after deduction of First Semester payments) is to be paid 2nd Semester before registration.
• Graduating Students are expected to make full payment of fees in category C along with their 2nd Semester Fees.
• All Students are required to register for their semester courses within the first two weeks of resumption. Late registration after two weeks attracts a penalty of N10,000.00

PROCEDURE ON e-PAYMENT FOR 2015/2016 ACADEMIC SESSION FOR 300L STUDENT ONLY
This step by step guide is prepared to give the user(s) an effective operations and management processes of e-Payment on BOWEN UNIVERSITY ‘S Portal which makes all operations accessible via the web. It is a unique and seamless application which enables Students, Parents and Guardians to make payment of school fees online with ease.
Step one :To access the university website for payment, logon to www.bowenuniversity.edu.ng into any browser of your choice.
I: Navigate to portal and click on undergraduate students
II: Click on login to view the students personalized page
II :Check on returning students (300 Level only)
III: Enter your matriculation number and date of birth as login details
IV: Click on course registration to update your level to 300 level
V:Click on Make payment and follow the instructions
Viii : Select the following available option of payments:
Full Payment or Specific Instalment
Ix :Click on Generate Slip
X: Print the Generated Slip
Step two :
If payment is by Credit/Debit Card Proceed to the Quickteller online
Quickteller website @ https://www.quickteller.com/bowenuniversity
Select undergraduate school Fees(300 Level) and Click on the “Pay” button to proceed. On the resulting page, enter your valid Email address, Mobile Number and Transaction ID from the generated slip from student profile in the boxes provided and click “Next” button. On the next page, click “Pay” button again to load the payment gateway. Enter your Credit/Debit Card information and process payment. Print your payment receipt from the screen.
Or If the payment is by cash go to the nearest Skye Bank Branch with the GENERATED SLIP to use BranchCollect facility available on Skye Bank platform

 All other Students are to procure Bank Draft from any of the Commercial Banks in favour of Bowen University, Iwo.
NB: Registration for courses is contingent on full payment of the Semester prescribed

OTHER INFORMATION
• Feeding shall be by approved Cafeteria Services for which students themselves Pay As You Eat (PAYE).
• All new students would be required to [pay the Bowen University Parents Association Forum (BUPAF) levy of N10,000.00 per session while the returning students would be required to pay N5,000.00 before registration for Courses in the 1st Semester.
(OPTIONAL)
• Accounting Technician Scheme – N40,000.00 per exam (For Accounting, Business Administration, Banking and Finance and Economics only. This is a voluntary professional programme).
Bowen University Jacket for Graduating Students @ N7,500.00 and Sweat Shirt for Stale Students @ N4,500.00
