University of Manchester is offering generous
scholarships for high-achieving students. Scholarships are
available for International Foundation programme.

what their background or financial circumstances.
The University of Manchester is the largest campus-based
undergraduate university in the UK. The INTO
Manchester study Centre is situated nearby, and offers the
only foundation pathway that guarantees progression for
all students who achieve the required grades.
English Language requirements vary by course and
department but are usually the equivalent of IELTS 6.0–
7.0 (or 5.5 for foundation courses).
Course Level: Scholarships are available for pursuing
International Foundation program at INTO Manchester.
Study Subject: Scholarships are awarded in the field of humanities and social science, engineering and science and life sciences.
Scholarship Award: The 50% scholarships are valued at £7,997.50 each towards your tuition fees.

Eligibility:
Academic requirements: You need to have completed 12
years of schooling (or the local equivalent to meet the same
standard) with very good grades.
Age: 17 years and above.
Nationality: UK and international students can apply for these scholarship (that include Nigerians)
College Admission Requirement: You must make
your undergraduate application to the University of
Manchester through the Universities and Colleges
Admissions Service (UCAS). Please read the following
guidelines to find out exactly how and when to apply:-You
can apply to UCAS from 1 September for entry the
following autumn.
-The normal closing date for receipt of applications is 15
January, after which you can apply through UCAS Extra.
(The deadline for international applications is 30 June.)
-If you are applying to Oxford or Cambridge, or for
courses leading to a professional qualification in medicine or
dentistry, the closing date is 15 October in the year prior
to entry.
-In many cases you can defer entry by one year, especially
if you wish to gain relevant work experience or improve
your language skills. Please check with the admissions team
for the relevant subject before submitting your UCAS
form.

English Language Requirement:
3-term programme (including Headstart): IELTS 5.5
(with a minimum of 5.5 in writing) or equivalent.
4-term programme: IELTS 5.0 (with a minimum of 5.0
in writing and no less than 4.5 in any subskill) or
equivalent.
If you have achieved the minimum IELTS score overall but
do not have the required score in writing for direct entry,
you will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
