How to use FUAM Registration Portal

See how to use Federal University of Agriculture portal for registration.

On successful login, student will have access to his/her section to update and print report on personal data, course registration as well as fees 

 

Personal Information

You are expected to fill and submit your personal data form before any activity on the portal. The personal data link is provide at the top left pane the student window. To edit your personal data, make the appropriate changes and click on the submit button.
You may not be allow to edit special fields like your surname, Date of birth after the first time you updated your information. To make changes to such details, you will be required to get an update permission from the portal administrator. To avoid this inconveniences, you are advised to carefully fill the form and confirm that the information provided is correct before submitting the form.

Password

The first time you logged on to the portal, you used the your registration/admission number and PIN number on the confirmation slip given to you at the bank after payment. The PIN number is your first password. You are expected to change this first time PIN to any character of your choice that you can easily remember. The password can be alpanumeric but must not contain special characters like ;,"", '', `,$, * and tags. To change your password, click on the password link at the left pane of the page. Enter your current password and the new password you want to use and submit.

At the beginning of every semester, you are required to pay your fees in the bank where you will be given a new confirmation slip that carries a unique number. This unique number at the beginning of the semester is required to have access to the portal. You only need to use this number once. Subsequently, you will be using your normal password to login to the portal. You are advised to provide a valid email address to help you password recovery.

Course Registration

Courses are registered per semester bases, you will be required to pay fees for the semester before you will be able to register your courses. Th exercise usually dooes not last longer than three weeks after which your portal will be shot down for registration. The course registration submenu has four submenu:

Current Courses: Your registration of courses for each semester begins with this option by first identifying your courses. The current courses are the courses you are to register for the semester. These courses are to be set by your departmental exam/registration officer. It is expected that you register at least a minimum of two (2) credit unit courses before you will be allowed to add/ drop any courses. From the list of courses provided by your department, select the courses you want to register by clicking the check boxes by the left side of the courses. A minimum of two(2) and maximum of twenty-four (24) credit unit is allowed by default depending on the settings of the department.

After you click on the register button, the page is submitted presenting three options to add, drop or confim. At this point you can suspend your regsistration until you are sure of the courses you want to register not later that the specified period for registration. If you are sure of the courses you have selected for registration, you can click on the confirm button to finally submit your courses for approval.

If you wish to add or drop any course, click on the the add/drop button, enter the course code of the course want. Note that the courses are filtered as you type the course code. If you don't know the course code, allow the portal to make suggetion as you type then select among the options provided. Click the search button to see if you can add or drop the course, you will be provided with the course details and the add and drop buttons. Click the required action. if successful, you will be returned to the registration page where you can continue you registration.

Note that after all add or drop of courses, you will be required to confirm your courses. Not until you do so, it assumed you have not registered for the semester because your courses will not be visible to the department. When you confirm your courses, they become visible to the department officer who approves your courses finally for registration and examination. Budget for the number of students sitting for a particular course during exam is prepared based on the student that confirmed their registration.

Current Registration: This option provides the previlege to continue with your course registration if you have not confirmed your registration in the previous option. The list of courses that you have selected for registration previously are listed for modification. You can add/drop courses here as in the previous option. You are required to confirm your courses by clicking the confirm button after you have completed your registration.

Last Registration: This option provides you the opportunity to register for the previous semester courses. Subsequently, this option will not be supported because you are expected to register your courses before the end of the semester. Complains for previous semester registration will be left unattended.

Registration History: This option provides you with history of all the courses you have registered for each semester and session. You can view and print previous courses that you have registered.


Fees: The fee option provided history of all the fees you have paid over time.
