From the office of the Registrar, Yobe State University, Damaturu, this is to inform all candidates who applied for admission through UTME and Direct Entry into Yobe State University, Damaturu for the 2016/2017 Academic Session that there will be a POST- UTME (Examination) Screening Exercise as follows:
Date: –            18th to 22nd July, 2016.
Eligibility: applicants who choose the institution as their 1st choice and scored 180 and above.

HOW TO APPLY FOR YOBE STATE UNIVERSITY POST UTME.

Eligible applicants are requested to buy online scratch card at the cost of N2, 000 obtainable at UBA Damaturu Branch (Account Number 1006400111) and should come along with their originals and photocopies of documents to their various department of their choices for the exercise.
Only screened applicants will be considered for admission.

Verification of result commenced on Monday 4th April 2016 @ Room 6, Department of Chemistry by 9:00am.

Yobe State University, YSU registration procedure such as: mode of registration, mode of payment, venue and schedule of departmental registration with dates for the 2015/2016 academic session.
Yobe State University Registration Guidelines
The authorities of the Yobe State University (YSU) have released the approved schedule for the central registration exercise for the 2015/2016 academic session.

A) Mode of Registration.

The usual procedure of Central Registration will be fully applied but to save time, online registration will be suspended this Academic Session.
Therefore, Course Registration Forms (CRF) will be distributed to Students by the Exams and Records Unit where they will be requested to fill them in writing.
Moreover, students will be requested to fill up four (4) copies of the CRF, each to be submitted to the Faculty, Department, Exams and Records and ICT Units.

YSU Postgraduate Admission 2016 Announced
a) Postgraduate Diploma (PGD): Candidates must have i. HND obtained at a minimum of Credit level in relevant courses from a recognized polytechnic; or ii. a first degree not lower than Third class division in relevant courses from
a) recognized University. Registered Nurses (RN) plus post-qualification certificate could be considered for PGD Education and PGD Food Quality and Safety.
b) Master’s degree: Candidate must have i. a first degree obtained at a minimum of second class lower division in relevant courses; or ii. a first degree in other disciplines obtained at a minimum of second class lower division plus Postgraduate Diploma in relevant courses obtained at credit level from a recognized University; or iii. Third class honours degree in relevant courses plus Post Graduate Diploma in relevant courses obtained at credit level; or iv. HND in relevant courses plus PGD in relevant courses obtained at credit level.
c) PhD: Candidates must have i. a Master’s degree in any relevant area of specialization in the course applied for with a minimum CGPA of 4.0 or 60%; or ii. M.Phil. degree in any relevant area of specialization in the course applied for. (Candidates with less than a minimum CGPA of 4.0 or 60% can be considered for M.Phil/PhD.).
