TASUED Post UTME/DE Screening Form is Out – 2017/18

Tai Solarin University of Education, TASUED post UTME/Direct Entry screening application form for the 2017/2018 academic session is out. TASUED cut-off mark is 180. Candidates seeking a change of institution to TASUED through JAMB can also apply.

Latest Update: This is to inform applicants for the 2017/2018 TASUED POST – UTME screening exercise that it has been postponed and new date shall be communicated soon. In a related development, applications have been extended till 31st of August, 2017.


The Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED) Post UTME and Direct Entry screening exercise application form for the 2017/2018 academic session is out. Interested and qualified candidates are hereby requested to apply on the university admission page.



Note: Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED) does not have any outside agent to help with the 2017/2018 admission exercise. The use of such agent is at candidate’s own risk and candidates should desist from using third party in processing their applications.

CANDIDATES ELIGIBLE FOR TASUED POST UTME SCREENING EXERCISE.

i. UTME Candidates who chose TASUED as first choice institution or seeking a change of institution to TASUED through JAMB, having scored a minimum of 180 in the 2017 UTME.

ii. Direct Entry candidates with A level/OND/HND/NCE/JUPEB qualification who chose TASUED as first choice institution or seeking a change of institution to TASUED through JAMB and have obtained 2017 Direct Entry JAMB form.

HOW TO APPLY FOR TASUED POST UTME SCREENING EXERCISE.

i. Candidates should apply online through the TASUED Admission portal on https://my.tasued.edu.ng/admission

NB: The www.tasued.edu.ng is the ONLY legitimate and authentic website of TASUED through which the Admission portal can be accessed.

ii. Each candidate is required to make the payment of N2,500 for the screening exercise and N5,000 for the portal access fee, payable online with either Master card or VISA ATM card.

(Please print out your receipt after payment)

iii. Candidates are required to fill and complete the online Application Form by providing all the required information.

(Please download and read the University Degree Brochure and carefully study the O’Level requirements for the courses applied for, before filling the online Application Form)

iv. Print the Screening Slip containing your colour passport photograph and screening information. The printed slip will serve as candidate’s identification/admission card for the screening exercise.

v. The sale of the online Screening Form/Registration commences onMonday, 17th July 2017 and closes onFriday, 11th August 2017 31st of August, 2017.

Note that wrong/false information provided by any candidate shall render the application invalid and such candidates shall be disqualified.

Screening exercise shall be conducted for all UTME candidates at the Main Campus of the University on these dates:

The screening date for Direct Entry (200 Level) applicants shall be announced at a later date.

Candidates’ participation in the screening exercise is a mandatory requirement for entry into Tai Solarin University of Education.

TASUED Direct Entry Screening Exercise Date & Details – 2016/17

Tai Solarin University of Education, TASUED direct entry screening exercise date and details for the 2016/2017 academic session.
TASUED Direct Entry screeing Schedule
This is to inform all the Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED) Direct Entry applicants that their screening exercise has been scheduled for Thursday, 29th September, 2016 by 10.00am at the e-Learning Centre, Ijagun Campus.
All Direct Entry applicants are advised to login to their profile on the TASUED Application portal (http://my.tasued.edu.ng) to upload scanned copies of their respective result documents (O`Level and OND/NCE/HND Results) as a single PDF file by 6.00pm on Wednesday, 28th September, 2016. They are also advised to print a copy of the Screening Slip for information on the schedule of the screening exercise.
Applicants are advised to adhere strictly to the Post-UTME Screening arrangement as indicated in the scheduled information that is provided on the Screening Slip.

TASUED POSTGRADUATE ADMISSION – GENERAL ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS.

1. All Candidates seeking admission into any of these programmes must possess a minimum of 5 credit passes, including English Language.( in not more than two sittings) at the Senior Secondary Certificates Examination (WASCE//NECO/SSCE/GCE O/L) conducted by recognized examining bodies such as WAEC,NECO,NABTEB, University of London, University of Cambridge etc.
2. All Candidates must satisfy the specific O’level requirements of the programme they are applying for.

TASUED POSTGRADUATE ADMISSION – SPECIFIC PROGRAMME REQUIREMENTS.

1. Master’s Programmes:
a. Graduates of Tai Solarin University of Education, Ijagun or other Universities recognized by the University Senate who have obtained the approved Bachelor’s Degree with at least Second Class Honours Lower Division in the field of Study.
b. Candidates with Third class pass Bachelor’s degree and Postgraduate Diploma in the same subject.
c. Candidates with HND (Minimum of Upper CREDIT) and Postgraduate Diploma in the course applied for.
2. Postgraduate Diploma Programme
Candidates seeking admission into the Postgraduate Programme should possess a minimum of third class pass in the Bachelor’s Degree and minimum of lower credit at the Higher National Diploma (HND).
3. Postgraduate Diploma in Education
Candidates for PGDE must have credit in Mathematics in addition to Credit in English Language.

TASUED POSTGRADUATE ADMISSION – SPECIAL COURSE REQUIREMENTS.

1. Candidates wishing to Study Educational Management must have credit in English Language, Mathematics and Economics at the WAEC, NECO or GCE Ordinary Level. They must also have a certificate in Education or at least 3years Post qualification experience in Educational administration/ Management in the public service.
2. Candidates wishing to Study Counseling Psychology must have credit pass in Mathematics at WAEC, NECO or GCE Ordinary Level.
*For Science and other Mathematics related courses, a credit pass in Mathematics is compulsory.

TASUED POSTGRADUATE ADMISSION – DURATION OF PROGRAMMES.

b. Master’s degree by Course Work (Part-time Mode) 36 Months
c. Postgraduate Diploma (Full-time Mode) 12 Months

TASUED Part-Time Degree Admission Form is Out – 2016/17

Tai Solarin University of Education, TASUED part-time degree programmes supplementary admission application forms for the 2016/2017 are now on sale.
TASUED Part-Time degree Form
The management of the Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED) Centre for Part-time and External Programmes (CEPEP) is inviting qualified candidates to her 2016/2017 academic session part-time B.A. (ED), B.ED, B.L.S (ED)., B.Sc. (ED) degree programmes.
According to the management, the part-time degree programme would run for 4- year (9 Semesters) and 5- year (12 Semesters).

TASUED PART-TIME PROGRAMMES ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS.

The admission requirements for Bachelor’s Degree Programmes are as follows:
5 YEARS PROGRAMME
  1. WAEC/NECO Senior School Certificate (SSC), General Certificate of Education Ordinary Level (GCE O’Level) or their equivalents with credits in five (5) subjects obtained at not more than two sittings and National Technical Certificate/National Business Certificate (NTC/NBC) is acceptable for Vocational courses only.
DIRECT ENTRY: 4 YEARS PROGRAMME
  1. Nigeria Certificate in Education (N.C.E.) with at least Merit in 2 core subjects, GCE A’Level with passes in two subjects, OND/HND (for some courses) in relevant areas with at least Lower credit, Cambridge (A level) Certificate with passes in two subjects, Academic Diploma from recognized Universities (for some courses in relevant areas) are required in addition to (1) above for Direct Entry.  Advanced National Technical/Business Certificate (ANTC, ANBC) is acceptable for Vocational courses only.  This is in addition to 1 above.
A credit in O’level English Language is required for all courses.

TASUED PART-TIME DEGREE PROGRAMMES SPECIAL COURSES REQUIREMENTS.

  1. A credit in O’Level Mathematics is required for all Sciences, Vocational and Technical and Social Science-based courses.
  2. Credit in Literature in English is required for English Language.
  3. A credit in at least one science subject is required for Mathematics.
  4. Candidates wishing to study Educational Management should have obtained credit in English Language, Mathematics and Economics at the Ordinary Level.
  5. Credits in any two (2) of Geography, Economics, Government, Commerce, Christian Religious Knowledge, Islamic Religious Knowledge, History and Yoruba are acceptable for the study of Social Studies.
  6. Candidates wishing to study Counseling Psychology with teaching subject options in science and social sciences must have credit in Mathematics.

(ii) Click Part-Time and Sandwich application form.
Candidates are strongly advised to click the Part-Time and Sandwich Degree Brochure and carefully study the O’Level requirements for the courses applied for before applying on the TASUED website, www.tasued.edu.ng 
(iii) Complete the Part-Time and Sandwich application form by providing the required information; 
(iv) Submit your form by clicking submit button. 
(v) Print out an identification slip containing your colour passport photograph.  The printed slip will serve as candidate’s identification/admission card for the screening test.
 Note that false information provided by any candidate sha   ll be detected by the special TASUED software application and such candidates shall be disqualified.

TASUED PART-TIME ADMISSION SCREENING DATES.

Screening shall be conducted on Friday, 2nd  September, 2016 for all 100 level and Direct Entry (200 level) applicants at ICT Ososa Campus of the University by 9.00 a.m.
Candidates’ participation in the screening exercise is a mandatory requirement for entry into the University.
The results of the screening exercise should be checked on the University Website a week after the screening.
