Authority of the Niger Delta University (NDU), Wilberforce Island, Bayelsa State, invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for admission to the  Basic Studies for the Sciences and Arts for the 2016/2017 Academic Year .
Niger Delta University one year basic programme is designed to improve the performance of Secondary School Leavers in the UTME and equivalent examinations. It should be noted that preference will be given to candidates of the programme in the University Admission process.

NDU BASIC STUDIES ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS.

  • Applicants must have Five (5) O’ Levels Credit relevant to the proposed course of study, including English Language.
  • Admission is open to candidate that are awaiting the release of the most recent WAEC and NECO School Certificate Examination results as well as those who have attempted and are still preparing to resit the exams.

    • Any Branch of Diamond Bank Plc nationwide for N5,000.00
    • You should use your GSM Phone number as the Buyer ID
  2. Click on the large green button above and follow the instructions on the wizard
  3. Ensure you provide two valid and working GSM Phone numbers. You will be contacted through these numbers
  4. Ensure you cross check and preview the information filled in
  5. Print out the completed application form.
  6. The application closes August 31st, 2016

Niger Delta University, NDU JUPEB  programme admission form is now on sale for the 2016/2017 academic session. After completion of NDU JUPEB (1 year programme),  candidates can use their certificates to  gain Direct Entry Admission into 200 level of the degrees offered by the Niger Delta University and other JUPEB affiliated Universities in Nigeria and Universities abroad.

In collaboration with the JOINT UNIVERSITIES PRELIMINARY EXAMINATIONS BOARD (JUPEB), the Niger Delta University invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the Pre-degree Programmes for the 2016/2017 session.
The Programme leads to the award of the Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB) Certificates which enables candidates to gain Direct Entry Admission into 200 level of the degrees offered by the Niger Delta University and other JUPEB affiliated Universities in Nigeria and Universities abroad. The JUPEB Certificate is equivalent to the Advance Level GCE or the Old Higher School Certificates (HSC) or IJMB.
For admission into the Niger Delta University and other JUPEB affiliate institutions, each candidate, in addition to passing the prescribed JUPEB examination for issuing the Direct Entry Certificates, must satisfy all admission requirements prescribed by Departments and Faculties of choice.

NDU JUPEB ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS.

Candidates seeking admission into the JUPEB Predegree Programmes must possess a minimum of 5 credit passes in at least Five (5) subjects at “O” Level, including English Language and Mathematics at not more than 2 sittings in the GCE, SSCE (WAEC, NECO, NABTEB).

NDU JUPEB – DURATION.

The duration of the study is a minimum of one Academic Session of two Semesters. It is strictly a non-residential programme.

NDU JUPEB ADMISSION – METHOD OF APPLICATION.

Registration is online on our website at http://predegree.ndu.edu.ng/ . The Registration Process is as follows:
(a) Go to any Diamond, Sky or First Bank branch in Nigeria.
Purchase an e-pin for Niger Delta University Pre-degree Programme for a fee of (N15,000.00). The University will not subsidize other charges such as bank charges.
(b) After Payment
Go online and log onto to http://predegree.ndu.edu.ng/ and click on Apply for predegree. Complete the online application for pre-degree.
Candidates who are to purchase the application forms online should complete the following steps and pay accordingly.

This is to inform the general public that the Post-UTME Screening Exercise of the Niger Delta University for the 2016/2017 session will take place as indicated below. Suitably qualified candidates are invited to apply.

CANDIDATES ELIGIBLE FOR NDU POST UTME.

· Candidates who chose Niger Delta University as first choice
· Minimum UME score for all candidates is 180

HOW TO REGISTER FOR NDU POST UTME/ADMISSION SCREENING.

1. All candidates who made Niger Delta University their first choice and scored 180 and above in the 2015/2016 UTME, should pay the sum of three thousand, five hundred naira (N3,500.00) only into Diamond Bank Plc. NDU School Fees Account Number (0016405919) and Eco Bank Limited NDU School Fees Account Number (3042004288) nation-wide, being the cost of the Screening process.
2. Candidates should photocopy the Bank teller issued to them immediately after payment of the above sum.
3. Four hours after payment of the Screening fee, go on-line to cse.sarmsndu.org, click “get-e-pin” option to print your e-pin.
4. Use the e-pin to complete the Screening Form. Ensure that a recent colour passport-size photograph which must be sharp, showing candidate’s face clearly with no head gear is scanned.
5. Print a copy of the Form you have filled from the website. 6. The deadline for on-line submission of Application Form is 1st July, 2016. Note: Niger Delta University will not be held liable if you provide an invalid GSM number and e-mail address.

NDU Academic Staffs Embark On An Indefinite Strike

The Academic Staff Union of Universities, Niger Delta University (NDU) Chapter according to reports has embarked on an indefinite strike following non-payment of salaries since January 2016, by the State government.

“In recognition of the financial and psychological effects of the non-payment of salaries since January 2016, the congress hereby resolves to stop work henceforth until all outstanding salaries accruable are paid,” the lecturers announced in a resolution.
Meanwhile, first semester examination and the matriculation ceremony scheduled to hold on Saturday, April 30, 2016 has been postponed indefinitely. Pre-Degree and Basic programmes are not however affected by the strike.

NDU Announces Resumption Date for 2016

The Niger Delta University has made an announcement regarding its resumption. Below is the announcement:
Following the decisions of the committee of Provost and Deans (CPD) at it’s 90th meeting held on Friday, December 18, 2015.
The school will resume academic activities on January 11th, 2016.
It will be recalled that the institution went on break for the Christmas celebration on 23rd December 2015.

Niger Delta University (NDU) located in Wilberforce Island Bayelsa State in Nigeria is a Bayelsa State Government funded university. It was established in 2000 by Chief DSP Alamieseigha, then governor of Bayelsa state. It currently has two main campuses, one situated in the state capital, Yenagoa, which contains the law faculty and the other in Amassoma. Niger delta university has come a long way since its establishment and ranks naming the 50 best universities in Nigeria.
