Kwara State University, KWASU 3rd batch admission list for the 2015/2016 academic session is out.
KWASU 3rd batch admission list
The management of the institution released the third batch admission list of candidates offered provisional admission into KWASU various undergraduate programmes for the 2015/2016 academic session.
KWASU 3rdd Batch Admission list has been successfully uploaded online. Simply go to http://www.kwasu.edu.ng/2015-16 THIRD BATCH ADMISSION LIST.pdf to access KWASU 3rd batch admission list.
The candidates are expected to download and complete the screening form available on http://www.kwasu.edu.ng/Screening Form.pdf. The completed screening form should be brought along with the candidates’ original and photocopies of Credentials and Certificates of State/Local Government Citizenship. 
The screening exercise has been scheduled to hold from Thursday 30th – Friday 31st July & Monday 3rd August, 2015 in the University Auditorium, Malete, at 10.00am daily.

Kwara State University, KWASU admission list for the 2015/2016 academic session is out (1st batch precisely).
KWASU admission list
This is to inform all the candidates that participated in the Kwara State University, KWASU 2015/2016 academic session post UTME screening exercise that the management of the institution has released the first natch admission list.
KWASU 1st admission list contains the names of candidates offered provisional admission into KWASU various undergraduate programmes for the 2015/2016 academic session.
The shortlisted candidates have met the requirements for admission into KWASU and are implored to attend Admission Screening Exercise at Kwara State University, Malete.
The candidates are expected to download and complete the screening form placed on the University’s website.
The completed screening form should be brought along with the candidates’ original and photocopies of Credentials and Certificates of State/Local Government Citizenship.
The screening excersice has been scheduled to hold from Tuesday 7th – Thursday 9th July, 2015 in the University Auditorium, Malete, at 10.00am daily.

Kwara State University, KWASU important notice to prospective graduands for the 2014/2015 academic session as regards the forthcoming 3rd convocation ceremony of the institution.
KWASU Convocation Ceremony
Following the publication of the Kwara State University, KWASU 3rd Convocation Ceremony Programme of Events, the authorities of the institution release some important information to all 2014/2015 Graduands of the institution as regards the coming event.

(i)    All prospective graduands for the 2014/2015 Academic Session are requested to check their names on the list to be displayed on the University Website: www.kwasu.edu.ng as soon as Senate approves the final year results.

(ii)    Each graduand shall be allowed a maximum of two (2) guests.  The invitation cards will be issued as from Tuesday, 2nd June, 2015 when academic outfits will be available for collection.


(iii)    All prospective Graduands are expected to pay the sum of N18, 500.00 (Eighteen thousand five hundred naira inclusive of the N5,000 refundable deposit) for the following items, irrespective of whether or not they attend the Convocation Ceremony:
(a)    Hiring of Academic Outfit;
(b)    Order of Proceedings;
(c)    Certificate scroll;
(d)    Alumni fees e.t.c.
(iv)    A refundable caution deposit of N5, 000.00 (Five Thousand Naira) will also be paid for the hired Academic gown.


(v)    Order of Proceedings and invitation cards (2 copies)will be available for collection on Friday prior to the Convocation day from College Officers on presentation of evidence of payment of appropriate charges and clearance certificate.


(vi)    Graduands are expected to attend a Convocation Rehearsal which will hold at 4.00pm on Friday, 5th June, 2015 at the Uiversity Convocation Arena.


(vii)    It is compulsory for all Graduands, who will attend the Convocation Ceremony, to participate in the Academic Procession and wear the approved academic outfits.


(viii)    Graduands are expected to be formally dressed in full English wear (i.e Suit, Shirt and tie for men and Skirt suit/ Skirt and blouse or gown for Ladies) or full national dress.


(ix)    Graduands are expected to be on the Campus by 7.00a.m. on Saturday, 6th June, 2015 for the Procession which will start from the Administrative Building at 8.00am prompt.  Any graduand who comes late will not be allowed to enter the Convocation Arena.


(x)    All hired gowns should be returned by the Graduands to their respective College Officers not later than Friday, 12th June,2015.  Gowns returned after that date will attract a fine of Two hundred naira (N200.00) only per day.


(xi)    Graduands should visit the University’s website for details of mode of payment of Convocation charges.

Kwara State University, KWASU post UTME form for the 2015/2016 academic session is now on sale
KWASU post UTME form is out
The Kwara State University (KWASU) has commenced Undergraduate admissions processing for 2015/2016 academic session.

From the information reaching us, we are glad to inform all the candidates whose choice of institution in the 2015 UTME/DE was Kwara State University (KWASU), Malete; and all those interested in admission into KWASU but have not made it their choice to the Post-UTME Screening/Test for 2015/2016 admission exercise.
All candidates must have five (5) O’ Level credits in relevant subjects at not more than two sittings. The screening/test is scheduled to hold as follows:
Date: Monday 15th June – Thursday 18th June, 2015.
Venue: University Auditorium, Malete
Time: Examination time will be scheduled on candidates’ registration print-outs.
Candidates are advised to adhere strictly to the time scheduled for their Post-UTME Screening/Test. They are also required to come along to the screening/test venue with unused scratch card(s) for their O’level results, and print-outs of their Post-UTME registration forms.

REGISTRATION FEES: Applicants are required to pay the sum of Two Thousand Naira (₦2,000.00) only (i.e. One Thousand Naira (₦1,000.00) as Post-UTME fee and One Thousand Naira (₦1,000.00) for bank and other administrative charges).
ONLINE REGISTRATION AND PAYMENT INSTRUCTIONS
► Visit our payment portal online – payments.kwasu.edu.ng
► Click on ‘Application Form’, then Post UTME Application
► On the application form field select POST UTME on the drop down, select course of study and click on “Proceed”
► Complete the form and upload scanned copy of your passport photograph
► Click on “Preview” and proceed to payment
► Select your card type by checking on the appropriate button– MasterCard, Inter-switch or Visa card
► Click on ‘Make Payment ’
► Write down the transaction reference number for your record purpose
► Click on ‘Proceed to Payment’
►Pop up will be displayed for Webpay. Select your appropriate card type again, enter your card number, expiring date, and security number (this is the last 3 digit on the back of your card) select your card pin number (usually your ATM Pin)
►Click on ‘Pay’
►After Processing, it will display progress. Click on ‘Continue’ to finalize your payment.
►In case you want to verify payment, go to the main page and click on verify payment, enter your reference number and verify your payment status.

In addition to all the requirements stated above, all applicants must know that final admission into the University is based on meeting the University’s and the Academic Programme’s cut off points in both JAMB and POST-JAMB examinations when they are set and also on the availability of spaces within the NUC approved admission quota for KWASU.

BROAD OBJECTIVES
The over-all goal of the Bachelor of Education Degree at Kwara State University is to prepare teachers who will continue to progress along a path toward excellence in professional growth and development as clearly stated by the vision of KWASU: to be foremost in expanding the frontiers of knowledge and be most innovative in disseminating knowledge towards advancing the cause of humanity.

DURATION OF PROGRAMMES
The duration of programme offered is usually five (5) or four (4) long vocations, based on mode of entry.
  1. Minimum of 5 and maximum of 7 contact sessions for a five contact programme.
  2. Minimum of 4 and Maximum of 6 contact sessions for a four contact programme.
BUSINESS EDUCATION
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
(A) five contact sessions
  1. NCE with a minimum of pass grade or below 12 points, including a minimum of five credit passes at O/LevelGCE/SSCE/NECO/TCIINABTEB or equivalent to include English Language, Mathematics and any three relevant subjects at not more than two sittings.
  2. National Diploma with lower credit in Office Technology andManagement (Secretarial Studies) from a recognized institution with O/Level requirements.
  3. To qualify for Accounting option, candidates must have obtained credit pass in their financial accounting in O/Level result.
b.        FOUR CONTACT SESSIONS
  1. NCE Business Education in Accounting, Marketing or Office Education option (Sec. Studies) with at least credit pass or  above 12 points, with at least five (5) O/level Credits in Mathematics, English and three other relevant subjects.
  2. HND in Accounting, Marketing, or Office Technology and Management with O/Level requirements.
  3. ND with Upper Credit and O/Level requirements.Any degree holder who may want to re-enroll for a degree in Business Education.
  4. Any other relevant qualification approved by the College of Education and Senate of KWASU

CHRISTIAN RELIGIOUS STUDIES EDUCATION
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
FOUR CONTACT SESSIONS (4-year programme)

  2. ND with Upper Credit and O/Level requirements. Any degree holder who may want to re-enroll for a degree in Christian Studies Education.
FIVE CONTACT SESSIONS (5-year programme)
  1. NCE with a minimum pass grade of 9-11 points in addition to a minimum of five credit passes at O/Level/SSCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB/Grade II Teachers Certificate (TCII)/or equivalent, including Christian Studies, Mathematics and English Language at not more than two sittings.
  2. Any other relevant qualification approved by the College of Education and the Senate of KWASU.
  1. National Diploma with lower credit/meritfrom a recognized institution with O/Level requirements.
EARLY CHILDHOOD AND PRIMARY EDUCATION
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
FIVE CONTACT SESSIONS (5 Year programme)
  1. NCE (in relevant subjects) with a minimum  of (pass) grade or below 12 points, including a minimum of five credit passes at O/LevelSSCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB/ Grade II teacher certificate (Mathematics and English Language inclusive) at not more than two sittings.
  2. Diploma in Education with at least Merit pass from a recognized institution in addition to O/Level requirement specified in item 1
FOUR CONTACT SESSIONS (4-year programme)
Candidate must possess one of the following qualifications:
  1. NCE (in any area) with at least credit grade or above 12 points, including a minimum of five credit passes at O/Level/SSCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB/Grade II teachers certificate (Mathematics and English Language inclusive) at not more than two sittings.
  2. HND in addition to O/Level requirement as in item 1 above
  3. Any degree holder who wants to enroll for a degree in Early Childhood and Primary Education.
  4. Any other relevant qualification approved by the Senate of the Kwara State University.
ISLAMIC STUDIES EDUCATION
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
A)           FOUR CONTACT SESSIONS (4-year programme)
  1. NCE with at least credit grade or above 12 points, including a minimum of five credit passes at O/Level/SSCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB/Grade II Teachers Certificate (TCII)/SISC/or equivalent, including Islamic Studies, Mathematics and English Language at not more than two sittings.
  2. ND with Upper Credit and O/Level requirements. Any degree holder who may want to re-enroll for a degree in Islamic Studies Education.
B) FIVE CONTACT SESSIONS (5-year programme)
  1. NCE with a minimum pass grade of 9-11 points in addition to a minimum of five credit passes at O/Level/SSCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB/Grade II Teachers Certificate (TCII)/SISC/or equivalent, including Islamic Studies, Mathematics and English Language at not more than two sittings.
  2. Any other relevant qualification approved by the College of Education and the Senate of KWASU.
  1. National Diploma with lower credit/meritfrom a recognized institution with O/Level requirements.
KINESIOLOGY HEALTH EDUCATION AND SPORTS ADMINISTRATION
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
A) FIVE CONTACT SESSIONS
  1. Candidate must possessa minimum of five credit passes at O/LevelSSCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB’ (Mathematics and English Language inclusive) at not more than two sittings. Emphasis is placed on any of the following subjects Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Food Technology and Health Science in addition to NCE (PHE) with a minimum of pass grade or below 12 points, including
  2. Nurses with single qualification (must have satisfied O/Levelrequirements as stipulated in ‘1’ above).
  3. Diploma in Physics and Health Education with at least Merit pass from a recognized institution.
  4. Graduate of a recognized College of Health Technology (must satisfy O’ level requirements as stipulated in ‘1’ above).
  5. OND (in science subjects) from a recognized institution. Candidate must meet O’ Level requirements as stipulated in ‘1’ above
B) FOUR CONTACT SESSIONS
  1. NCE (PHE or other Science courses) from a recognized institution with at least credit grade or 12 points and above, in addition to O/Level requirement in specified subjects’ area.
  2. Nursing Certificate from Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria or its equivalent in addition to the O/Level requirements in the specified subjects.
  3. HND (Science courses) in addition to O/Level requirements in specified subjects.
  4. Any degree holder who want to re-enroll for a degree in Health Education and Sport Science.
  5. Any other relevant qualification asapproved by the College of education and the senate of KWASU
MATHEMATICS EDUCATION
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
A)        FIVE CONTACT SESSIONS
  1. NCE with pass or merit in mathematics below 12 points grade in addition to at least 5 relevant credits pass in 0/level SSCE/ GCE/ NECO/ NABTEB, including mathematics and English.
  2. Diploma in mathematics education with at least pass grade from a recognized institution in addition to O/level requirement stated above.
B)        FOUR CONTACT SESSIONS
  1. NCE with mathematics option from a recognized institution with at least credit gradeabove 12points in addition to O/level requirements English and Mathematics inclusive.
  2. Any other degree or HND holders in any other science subjects, provided O’level requirement stated above is satisfied.
  3. Diploma (science education) from a recognized institution with credit grade above12 points in addition to O’level requirement stated above.
SPECIAL EDUCATION ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

For admission into the Special Education Programme, the following academic qualifications are required:

A)      FIVE CONTACT SESSION
1          Candidate with O’Level result or NCE (Special Education) with a minimum of (Pass) grade or below 12 points. Including a minimum of five credits passes at o’ level ‘SSCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB’ (Mathematics and English Language inclusive) not more than two sittings. At least a PASS in Mathematics is required for the programme.
2          Nurses with single qualification (must satisfied o’ level requirements as stipulated in ‘i’ above).
3          Diploma in Special Education with at least Merit Pass from a recognized institution in addition to O’ level requirement in specified subjects above.

B)      FOUR CONTACT SESSION
  1. NCE (Special Education) from a recognized institution with at least credit grade or above 12 points in addition to O’ level requirement in specified subject areas.
  2. Nursing Certificate from Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria or its equivalent in addition to the O’Level requirements in the specified subjects.
  3. Any degree holder who may want to re-enroll for a degree in Special Education.
  4. Any other relevant qualification approved by the College of Education and the Senate of KWASU
TUITION FEE
A fee of N75, 000.00 to be paid into the Institute of Education account which is accessible upon clicking on “Apply Now” below
