The Kwara State University (KWASU) has commenced Undergraduate admissions processing for 2017/2018 academic session.
Authority of the Kwara State University (KWASU), Malete invites all the candidates whose choice of institution in the 2017 UTME was KWASU; and all those interested in admission into KWASU but have not made it their choice, to the Post-UTME/Pre-Admission Screening for 2017/2018 admission exercise.

KWASU PRE-ADMISSION SCREENING ELIGIBILITY.

those whose choice of institution (First or Second) is Kwara State University (KWASU), Malete; and
those interested in admission into KWASU but have not made it their choice.
All candidates must have five (5) O’Level credits in relevant subjects at not more than two sittings. Candidates awaiting O’Level results can also apply but they will not be considered for admission until their results are available.

HOW TO APPLY FOR KWASU POST UTME/PRE-ADMISSION SCREENING.

Online registration starts from Tuesday 30th May, 2017.
REGISTRATION FEES: Candidates are required to pay the sum of Five Thousand Naira (₦5,000.00) only (i.e. Three Thousand Naira (₦3,000.00) as Screening Fees and Two Thousand Naira (₦2,000.00) as administrative charges).
ONLINE REGISTRATION AND PAYMENT INSTRUCTIONS:
►Visit http://app.kwasu.edu.ng/portal, click “PRE-ADMISSION SCREENING REGISTRATION” menu.
►Click “Registration Form” link
►Enter your details in the spaces provided and click “Continue” button to generate the payment breakdown. NOTE that if you have already attempted to make payment, this section will notify you of the status of such payment.
►Check the payment details generated and click “Make Payment” button. Do not click the button twice.
►On the payment platform displayed, enter your card details and click the “Pay” button.
►Once your payment is successful, you will be directed to your registration portal where you can complete other stages.
►After completing the registration stages, it is important to print your Registration form and Payment receipt.
► If you have successfully paid, and wish to continue your registration stages later, you can use the “Login” link under “PRE-ADMISSION SCREENING REGISTRATION” menu to access your registration portal.
In addition to all the requirements stated above, all candidates must know that final admission into the University is based on meeting the University’s and the Academic Programme’s cut off points in UTME when they are set and also on the availability of spaces within the NUC approved admission quota for KWASU.

This is to inform all the candidates that participated in the Kwara State University, KWASU 2016/2017 academic session post UTME screening exercise that the management of the institution has released the first natch admission list.
KWASU 1st admission list contains the names of candidates offered provisional admission into KWASU various undergraduate programmes for the 2016/2017 academic session.

HOW TO CHECK KWASU ADMISSION LIST.

  1. Go to http://www.kwasu.edu.ng/portal/,
  2. Click on Login under POST-UTME Candidates
  3. Provide your JAMB Registration Number and your Surname (as provided during registration) as Username and Password respectively
  4. View you Admission Status and continue to payment
  5. All newly admitted students MUST note that the following fees are COMPULSORY:
    1. Acceptance Fee
    2. School Fee
    3. Hostel Accommodation Fee
    4. Departmental Fee
    5. Handbook Fee
    6. Guidance and Counselling Fee
    7. Matriculation Gown Fee
    8. Change of Institution Fee (for candidates who did not make KWASU their first or second choice).
  6. Admitted students MUST pay ALL their Fees within TWO WEEKS after admission has been given. Failure to pay will lead to the withdrawal of admission.
  7. Note that all payments are to be made online from your registration/student’s portal.
  8. You are required to download and complete the screening form placed on the University’s website. The completed screening form should be taken along with the original and photocopies of your Results and Certificates of State/Local Government Citizenship to your College Officer for Admission Clearance.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates must possess the following:
    SSCE/GCE (O/LEVEL)  with five (5)credits including Mathematics and  Mathematics and English Language
    B.Sc./ HND in Computer Science or equivalents with at least Second Class Honours Lower Division

Importance Notice to KWASU Graduands ; 4th Convocation

Kwara State University, KWASU important notice to prospective graduands for the 2015/2016 academic session as regards the forthcoming 4th convocation ceremony of the institution.
KWASU Convocation Ceremony
Following the publication of the Kwara State University, KWASU 4th Convocation Ceremony Programme of Events, the authorities of the institution release some important information to all 2015/2016 Graduands of the institution as regards the coming event.
(i)    All prospective graduands for the 2015/2016 Academic Session are requested to check their names on the list to be displayed on the University website: www.kwasu.edu.ng as soon as Senate approves the final year results.
(ii)    Each graduand shall be allowed a maximum of two (2) guests. The invitation cards will be issued as from Thursday,2nd June, 2016 when academic gowns will be available for collection.
(iii)    All prospective Graduands are expected to pay the sum of N17,000.00 (Seventeen Thousand Naira) for the following items, irrespective of whether or not they attend the Convocation Ceremony:
a)    Hiring of Academic Gown;
b)    Order of Proceedings;
c)    Certificate scroll;
d)    Alumni fees;
e)    Certificates e.t.c.
(iv)    A refundable caution deposit of N3000.00 (Three Thousand Naira) will also be paid for the hired Academic gown.
(v)    Order of Proceedings and Certificate scrolls will be available for collection immediately after the Convocation Ceremony from College Officers on presentation of evidence of payment of appropriate charges and clearance certificate.
(vi)    Graduands are expected to attend a Rehearsal of the Academic Procession which will hold at 4.00 pm on Friday, 3rd, June, 2016 at the University Convocation Arena.
(vii)    It is compulsory for all Graduands, who will attend the Convocation Ceremony, to participate in the Academic Procession and wear the approved academic gown.
(viii)     Graduands are expected to be formally dressed in full English wear    (i.e. Suit, Shirt and tie for men and Skirt suit/ Skirt and blouse or gown for Ladies) or full national dress.
(ix)     Graduands are expected to be on the Campus by 7.00 am on Saturday, 4th June, 2016 for the Procession which will start from the Administrative Building at 8.00 am prompt. Any graduand who comes late will not be allowed to enter the Convocation Arena.
(x)    All hired gowns should be returned by the Graduands to their respective College Officers not later thanFriday 10th June, 2016. Gowns returned after that date will attract a fine of Two hundred Naira (N 200.00) only per day.
(xi)    Graduands should visit the University’s web site for details of mode of payment of Convocation charges.

This is to inform the public that the 2016/2017 Post-UTME/DE Screening of the Kwara State University has been announced.
ELIGIBILITY

In addition to all the requirements stated above, all applicants must know that final admission into the University is based on meeting the University’s and the Academic Programme’s cut off points in both UTME and POST-UTME examinations when they are set and also on the availability of spaces within the NUC approved admission quota for KWASU.
All candidates must have five (5) O’ Level credits in relevant subjects at not more than two sittings. Candidates awaiting O’Level results can also apply for the Post-UTME Screening Test but will not be considered for admission until their results are available.
SCREENING DETAILS
The screening/test is scheduled to hold as follows:
Date: Monday 16th May – Thursday 19th May, 2016.
Venue: University Auditorium, Malete
Time: Examination time will be scheduled on candidates’ registration print-outs.
Candidates are advised to adhere strictly to the time scheduled for their Post-UTME Screening/Test. They are also required to come along to the screening/test venue with unused scratch card(s) for their O’level results, and print-outs of their Post-UTME registration forms.
REGISTRATION FEES: Applicants are required to pay the sum of Three Thousand Naira (N3,000.00) only (i.e. Two Thousand Naira (N2,000.00) as Post-UTME fee and One Thousand Naira (N1,000.00) as administrative charge).
