Kogi State University, KSU Pre-degree and Diploma programmes admission forms for the 2016/2017 academic session are now on sale.
Kogi State University pre-degree and diploma admission form.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into one year and two years Pre-Degree and Diploma programmes of Kogi State University, Anyigba, for 2016/2017 Academic Session.
Application fee is N5,500.
All payment will strictly be done using either KSU online college pay (web pay) using any Bank ATM card on the portal (www.cpds.edu.ng/pcpds), Or payment at any First Bank Branch nationwide through E-transact platform to generate pin for the on-line registration.
All candidates are expected to be at the screening center an hour before their scheduled time and with the required documents

Kogi State University Get A New Name, Guess!!!
Kogi State University has been renamed after the late first civilian Governor of the state, Prince Abubakar Audu by the current Governor, Yahaya Bello, on Friday.
The announcement was made during a state wide broadcast to mark His victory at the election petition tribunal.
According to the Governor, this is the ultimate honour that could be done to the memory of the late colourful politician who ruled the state twice as the civilian governor from 1991 to 1993 and 1999 to 2003.
It was gathered that the late Audu established the university in 2001 and named it Prince Abubakar Audu University, but his successor , Alhaji Ibrahim Idris, changed the name to Kogi State University in 2004.
As was disclosed by the Governor, an executive bill would soon be forwarded to the house of assembly to formalise the change in the name of the university.

The Alumni of the Kogi State University has vows to  tackle cultism in the institution.

In a bid to tackle the menace of cultism, kidnapping and other social vices blighting the Kogi State University (KSU) Anyigba, the alumni association of the school has embarked on the construction of a multi-million naira Guidance and  Counseling/Information and Communication Technology center that will endear positive change for the students.

Last week Friday, no less than 13 persons were killed in nearby Idah, as cult groups clashed in the area.
According to the national president of the univarsity’s alumni, Mr. Obaje Marthias Kelvin, the project when completed will avail the students new opportunities, and complemented by a counseling office which will serve as a  moulding pad for the reformation of the students.
The president disclosed this during the reunion and fund raising dinner held Monday in lokoja, the state capital.

He stated that the alumni has worked relentlessly with the student union body to stem the tide of social pervasiveness among the students, adding that they employed a desk officer to attend to the needs of students.

He further added, in its effort at bringing about positive change among the students’ population, the alumni under his watch renovated the university main gate, presented certificates of merit to nineteen best graduating students and designed a website to boost performance.

Kogi State University, KSU registration and screening exercise procedures for fresh and stale undergraduates for the 2015/2016 academic session.

This is to inform all the new and returning students of the Kogi State University (KSU) that the management of the institution has released the registration procedures for the 2015/2016 academic session.
KSU freshmen and returning students registration and screening exercise will commence from Monday 11th January, 2016 and closes two weeks from the commencement date, 25th January, 2016.
Details of registration procedure are as follows:

KSU Freshmen Registration Guidelines.

Step 1:Go to any branch of ZENITH BANK nationwide and pay the sum of Two Thousand Naira (N2, 000) into the Pre-Degree/Diploma Levy and Due dedicated Account for your Admission Letter. Note: Ensure that you collect a PIN from the Bank after Payment.
 Note: Students in the College of Medicine should make all payments to UBA Bank Plc and all also obtain equivalent PIN  
Step 2:Logon to http://portal.ksu.edu.ng and Click on “Student Login” Link  
Step 3:Kindly Login with your JAMB Registration Number e.g 56510415CA and use the word “password” as your inital password to logon to the portal  
Step 4:Once you have logged in successfully, you will be prompted to Pay for your Admission Letter.  
Step 5:You will be provided with two payment gateway i.e Zenith Bank X-path and Interswitch payment Platform Kindly select the zenith Bank X-path payment Platform [Note: We are currently working on our online payment integration to make payment seamless. Please bear with us]  
Step 6:Enter your Payment PIN Obtained from ZenithBank, UBA or any other designated bank of your payment.  
Step 7:You will be required to update the under listed data: 
  1. Passport Upload (Red background)
  2. Phone Number
  3. Nationality
  4. Religion
  5. Date of Birth
 Note: Ensure to use a valid email Address and Phone Number. Frequently check this mail for updates and information from time to time  
Step 8:After updating your information, a confirmation link will be sent to your email box provided. Logon to your E-mail and click on the account activation link.  
Step 9:Change your Password as required Note: An Email containing the details of your new account setup will be sent to your mail for future reference incase you forget.  
Step 10:Print Out your Admission Letter and get the under listed documents ready for screening: 
  1. Admission letter (coloured)
  2. On-line print out of O’ Level results
  3. Original and photocopy of State of Origin Certificate (Note: If at any point, it is discovered that a candidate claimed Kogi State where as he is not, such candidate will forfeit the admission and be handed over to the Police for criminal prosecution on the offence of forgery)
  4. Birth Certificate/Declaration of Age
  5. PIN from bank for the admission letter
  6. Medical Certificate from Kogi State University Health Services Unit
 Important Information Do not pay school fees until you have been screened accordingly. Failure to follow the afforementioned instructions is strictly at your own risk.

Step 3:Kindly Login with your Matric Number e.g 12MS1001 and use the word “password” as your inital password to logon to the portal  
Step 4:You will be required to update the underlisted data: 
  1. Passport Upload (Red background)
  2. Phone Number
  3. Nationality

  5. Date of Birth
 Note: Ensure to use a valid email Address and Phone Number. Frequently check this mail for updates and information from time to time

Prof. Mohammed Abdulkadir becomes Kogi State University, KSU Vice-Chancellor.
Kogi State University
Professor Mohammed Sani Abdulkadir is the newly appointed Vice Chancellor of Kogi State University, Anyigba to take over from Prof. Hassan Isah, whose tenure expired on October 12.
Professor Abdulkadir until his appointment is a Professor of Economic History, Department of History, Bayero University, Kano.
Prof. Abdulkadir is the son of the late Onu Abdulkadir who ruled as the District Head of the old Dekina LGA (comprises of Bassa and Dekina) for over 35 years.
The new vice chancellor promised to run an inclusive and consultative administration and appealed to stakeholders to join hands with him in moving the school forward.

KSU: 68 Students Expels over Exam Malpractice, Poor Performance

Kogi State University, KSU expelled 68 students over examination malpractice and poor academic performance.

Kogi State University, Ayangba, has expelled 68 students for examination malpractice and poor academic performance, according to a statement.
The statement, issued by the Registrar of the university, Yakubu Abubakar, in Lokoja on Sunday, said 19 of the affected students were expelled for various examination misconduct and 49 others withdrawn for poor academic performance.
Mr. Abubakar noted that some students also had their admission withdrawn for failure to register within the stipulated period and wrong entry requirements and that the affected students cut across all the faculties.

Kogi State University (KSU) 2015/2016 post-direct entry screening exercise earlier scheduled to hold on the 16th October, 2015 has been re-scheduled to hold on the 23rd October, 2015.
Examination slip with the old date are still valid to be tendered at the examination venue on the 23rd October, 2015.

Kogi State University, KSU post UTME and Direct Entry screening exercise application form for the 2015/2016 academic session is now out. Kogi State University post UTME minimum cut-off mark is 180. Candidates who made KSU their second choice need not to register. Ability to read and click or move the mouse on the computer are the only requirements for the test.

This is to inform all candidates who applied for admission into Kogi State University, Anyigba, for the 2015/2016 Academic Session and who made the institution their FIRST CHOICE (MOST PREFERRED INSTITUTION ONLY), that they would be screened through a Computer-Based Test (CBT), in their subject combinations similar to UTME, starting from Tuesday 1st and ending on Tuesday 8th September, 2015 for UTME candidates only.
Candidates who made the University their SECOND CHOICE NEED NOT TO REGISTER for the Screening Exercise.
Candidates, parents, guardians, and the general public are to note that ability to read and click or move the mouse on the computer are the only requirements for the test.

KSU Post UTME Screening Exercise Eligibility.

UTME CANDIDATES (100 LEVEL). Only candidates with UTME Score of 180 and above and with requisite minimum of Five (5) O’Level Credit Passes in the relevant subjects, including English Language (and Mathematics for programmes in the Faculties of Natural Sciences, Management Sciences, Agriculture, Medicine, and some programmes in the Faculties of Social Sciences and Education) at not more than two sittings, are eligible to attend the Screening Exercise.

KSU Post UTME Screening Registration Details.

 Registration for the Screening Exercise will commence from Monday, 10th August, 2015 and closes on Thursday 27th August, 2015 at midnight.
Details of the registration procedure are as follows:
  • Candidates are to pay into Kogi State University Post-UTME Account No. 1130036448, Bank Name: Any branch of Zenith Bank Pic through the X-PATH platform, Amount: N2,700 (Two Thousand Seven Hundred Naira Only) (i.e One thousand Five Hundred Naira for Registration/Screening and One Thousand Naira for result checking) and bank charges of Two Hundred Naira Only.
  • Candidates are to obtain a PIN (Personal Identification Number) from the bank after the payment of &2.700 (Two Thousand Seven Hundred Naira Only).
  • Candidates should visit any cyber cafe to register on-line on the institution’s portal: http://www.ksuportal.edu.ng and follow the instructions accordingly.
  • Candidates will be required to upload a scanned copy of their passport photographs (file size: not more than 20KB) with RED Background.
  • Candidates are to print out their respective Schedule Slip or Registration Slip containing Date and Time Schedule for the test.
  • The print out of the Schedule Slip or Registration Slip and the print out of the UTME result MUST be brought to the Screening Venue for submission to Screening Officers. The print out MUST be in COLOUR.
  • Candidates MUST arrive at the Professor F.S. Idachaba Lecture Theatre ONE HOUR (1HR) before their Scheduled screening time, to ensure proper briefing and accreditation.
  • Candidates are to adhere strictly to their schedules.
  • Candidates are prohibited from coming into the Examination Hall with phone(s) (Handsets), flash drive, modem, biro, pencil and/or any electronic gadgets.
IMPORTANT NOTICE
All candidates who have not met the required JAMB subject combination for the courses applied will not be short-listed for the POST-UTME Screening Exercise.
