The under-listed pupils are hereby invited for a screening and test for the NNPC/SNEPCo National Cradle-to-Career Scholarship which covers a 6-year full board secondary school education. The scholarship aims to provide opportunities for brilliant pupils from public schools to attend reputable secondary schools in Nigeria.
The scheme is managed by Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company Limited (SNEPCo) on behalf of itself, its co-venture partners and the NNPC.
Selection Criterion:
The selection of pupils was based on their performance in the 2016 National Common Entrance Examinations conducted by the National Examination Council (NECO‘). Nine candidates have been selected from each of the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, out of which the best THREE (3) who also meet all other award criteria listed below will be awarded the scholarship.
Screening/Test:
Screening/test for the selected pupils (See list below‘) shall be conducted on Saturday, July 23. Candidates are expected to be accompanied by parent/guardian to the examination centres and will be expected to come with the following documents:
Recent passport-sized photograph – 2 copies
Letter of introduction from current primary school
Letter of identification from candidate’s Local Government Council of origin.
Award Criteria
Pupils must be Nigerian and have written the National Common Entrance organised by NECO.
Pupils must be indigenes of the State they were selected from.
Pupils must be in the final class (primary 6) of a public primary school in Nigeria.
Pupils must be physically present to write the qualifying test at the designated school in the different locations.
Guardians/Parents of pupils must sign a consent form confirming the authenticity of documentation provided during the accreditation exercise.
Please note:
Beware of fraudulent websites requesting payment to write the scholarship test.
The NNPC/SNEPCo Cradle-to-Career scholarship application, examination and award are FREE.
SNEPCo does not assign ‘Representatives’/‘Agents’ to assist applicants’ process applications.
Screening will be continued even after the screening/test and any candidate found to have presented false documents will be disqualified or withdrawn at any level of the scholarship.
