University of Lagos, UNILAG Diploma in Human Kinetics and Health Education Admission application form for the 2015/2016 academic session is out.
UNILAG Diploma
The Human Resources Development Centre (HRDC) invites applications from suitable qualified candidates for admission into its two-year part-time programme for active sportsmen and women leading to the award of the DIPLOMA IN HUMAN KINETICS AND HEALTH EDUCATION.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:
  • Five (5) Credits in West African School Certificate examination (WASCE), NECO or GCE O/L which must include Mathematics, English Language, Biology and any other Science subject at one sitting.
  • Coaching Grade III Certificate or Diploma obtained from National Institute of Sports.
DURATION: The duration of the programme is two (2) academic sessions.
Lecture Commences: 30th November, 2015.
TUITION AND COURSE MATERIALS FEES: Tuition for the programme is N73, 000.00 (Seventy-three Thousand Naira per session). Admitted students are required to pay N 5, 000.00 (Five Thousand Naira) for Course Materials.
DATE OF QUALIFYING EXAM/INTERVIEW: Sat, 28th Nov. 2015 at 8:00 a.m. at the Sports Centre, UNILAG, Akoka
METHOD OF APPLICATION:
  • Applicants are expected to visit the HRDC portal http://hrdc.unilag.edu.ng to fill the pre-application form. (Contents of the pre-application form include Surname, First name, Middle name, e-mail address and Mobile number.) Upon successful completion of the pre-application form, the applicant will be issued a “Payment Reference Number” which should be printed out.
  • Applicants should take their printout containing the payment reference number to any of the HRDC application fee collecting banks (Access Bank, Ecobank, First Bank and Wema Bank) on the University campus to make payment of N7, 500:00 (Seven Thousand, Five Hundred Naira).
  • After payment, applicants should return to the payment portal, click the application form link, log in with the Payment Reference Number and the Surname (in lower case and strictly as provided in the pre-application form) as password to access the application form.
Kindly note the following:
  • Only application payments that the bank has confirmed receipt of will have access to the application form. Applicants who experience challenges may return to the bank where payment was made to request that their payment be posted. (Notification of payment receipt shall be sent to applicants who have paid.)
  • The password will be as provided in the Surname field in lower case; errors in filling of surname must therefore be reflected in the password used.
  • After completion of application form, printed copies (original printout and photocopy) should be submitted at the HRDC Secretariat with two (2) photocopies of the following documents not later than Friday 27th November, 2015:

 UNILAG Freshmen Screening Procedure.

Stage 1: Uploading of Documents
Login to the Unilag Students Portal (www.unilag.edu.ng) and fill the biodata form, print the Screening Form (students are expected to upload the underlisted documents while filling the Biodata form)
– Birth certificate
– Letter of reference
– Testimonial from secondary schools attended
– Certificate of state of origin
– JAMB Admission letter
– Previous Degree Certificate (DE students)
Stage 2: Screening
Candidates are expected to proceed to screening centre and submit four copies of the underlisted documents to the Registration Officer:
  1. Screening Form Generated From Stage 1
  2. Utme Result Slip
  3. Unilag Post-Utme Result Slip
  4. O’ Level Result Certificate (Waec / Neco)    Or Statement Of Result With an Online Version Of The Result
  5. Letter Of Reference From A Reputable Clergyman/Imam/Lawyer/Senior Civil Servant
  6. Birth Certificate/Sworn Declaration of Age
  7. Testimonial From Secondary Schools Attended
  8. Certificate of State of Origin
  9. Jamb Admission Letter
  10. Passport Photographs (12 Copies)
Stage 3: Post Screening
After successful completion of screening, go for data capture and make payment for obligatory charges at designated banks.  Information on this will be given during the screening exercise.
Stage 4: Faculty and Departmental Registration
Candidates are requested to visit their Faculties and Departments for registration.
Stage 5: Final Enrollment
Final enrollment is compulsory for all fully registered students. This will commence on Monday 16th November and ends on Monday 30th November, 2015. All candidates are expected to submit a copy of the following documents to the Registration Officers as well as Department and Faculty.
  • Completed and duly signed Students Biodata
  • Completed and duly signed Students Information Form (SIF)
  • Payment Acknowledgement Receipt 
N.B Impersonation is a serious offence and anybody found guilty of this will automatically forfeit his/her admission and may be handed over to the police.

UNILAG postgraduate admission form
Authorities of the University of Lagos (UNILAG), School of Postgraduate Studies, invite applications from suitably qualified candidates from recognized institutions for admission into the various Postgraduate programmes offered by the institution for the 2015/2016 academic session on full-time and Part-Time basis.

UNILAG Postgraduate – Available Programmes.

  • Postgraduate Diploma Programmes (PGD).
  • Masters Degree Programmes (i.e. M.Sc., M.Ed., M.A., LL.M, etc).
  • Professional Masters Degree Programmes (i.e. MBA, MILD, MILR, MPH, MDSS, MPIA, MPA, MGIS, etc).
  • Master of Philosophy (M.Phil.) and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) programmes.
There is flexibility in the mode of study with Full-Time, Part-Time, Executive and Sandwich options as applicable.

UNILAG Postgraduate Admission – General Requirements.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS PGD & M.Sc.
An applicant for admission to a programme shall be:
1. Must possess a Bachelors’s degree of this University or any approved University;
2. A person who holds other qualification(s) recognized by senate of the University of Lagos;
3. In addition to (i) and (ii) above, an applicant may be required, as a condition for admission, to undergo a selection process in the form of written and/or oral examinations.
NOTES:
1. (i) Candidates who have not completed the National Youth Service Corps programme or currently undergoing a Postgraduate programme need not apply. Such applicants will be automatically disqualified.
2. Candidates awaiting Bachelor’s degree results need not apply.
3. A holder of Degree obtained from an Outreach/Satellite are not eligible to apply.
4. All academic transcripts must reach the Deputy Registrar/Administrative Secretary, School of Postgraduate Studies on or before the start of the session admission is being sought.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS for M.Phil and Ph.D
Masters of Philosophy (M.Phil)
To qualify for admission to the above programme:

(i) Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s honours degree from this University or any other approved University with at least a Second Class (Upper Division).
(ii) Candidates with a Master’s degree with a minimum of CGPA of at least 3.50.
(iii) All candidates to the M.Phil. programmes must contact the respective department for availability of supervisors before applying.
(iv) The candidate may be required to undergo a selection process as determined by the respective department.
Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D)
(i) A candidate who has obtained the degree of Master of Philosophy must have a minimum CGPA of 4.0.
(ii) A candidate who has obtained the degree of Masters of Science must have a minimum CGPA of 4.0.
(iii) Candidates must clear with the respective Departments as to the availability of vacancies/supervisors before applying.
(iv) All candidates may be required to undergo a selection process as may be determined by the department.
For M. Phil and Ph.D. programmes only, admission shall be processed at the beginning of each semester.
ALL CANDIDATES FOR M. Phil./Ph.D. ADMISSIONS ARE TO PROVIDE TRANSCRIPTS OF THEIR MASTERS’ DEGREES OR FORMAL EVIDENCE OF PERFORMANCE AT MASTER’S LEVEL.
