  • A total score of 75 or higher on the TOEFL iBT, with a score of 15 or higher on every section.
  • An overall band score of 6.5 or higher on the IELTS, with a score of 6.0 or higher on every section.
  • A score of 600 or higher on the SAT Critical Reading section (offered before March 2016).
  • A score of 650 or higher on the SAT Evidence-Based Reading and Writing section (offered beginning in March 2016).
  • A score of 26 or higher on the ACT Reading section.
Scholarships for High School Students
How to Apply: Presidential LEEP Scholarship and Global Scholars Program Scholarship require separate applications; however, the rest of our merit scholarships do not. To apply, you’ll need to submit:
  • First-year Common Application
  • Secondary School Report: Student’s school official will submit the Common Application’s Secondary School Report along with an official high school transcript, which will give us a picture of your academic career.
  • Teacher evaluation form from a teacher in a traditional academic area such as mathematics, science, foreign language, English, social science or academic elective
  • Application fee of $60 through the Common Application website, or a fee waiver
  • Proof of English proficiency
  • Results from any national examinations (e.g., A levels, GCSE, WASSCE, CBSE, ISCE, CXC, CAPE, etc.)
Application Deadline: The application deadline is
  • 15th January 2017 if student is a regular applicant
  • 1st November 2016 if student is an early action applicant
