EKSU Certificate & Diploma Admission Form is Out – 2016/17

Ekiti State University, EKSU Diploma and Certificate Programmes admission forms are now on sale for the 2016/2017 academic session.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the Ekiti State University (EKSU) Diploma and Certificate Programme of the Directorate for Human Capital Development (DHCD).

EKSU Diploma and Certificate Programmes Admission Requirements.

Prospective students should include:
  • Matured students who are professionals such as traders, clergymen, artisans, welders, electricians, traditional rulers and chiefs, civil servants – state and local government workers, court attendants etc.
  • The young school leavers who needed the Diploma certificate for the direct entry admission into the University.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  1. For Diploma Programmes, candidates must have at least four credit passes in the SSCE. GCE. NECO. NABTEB or their equivalent in relevant courses.
  2. Special consideration Waiver may be given to matured candidates with lesser qualifications but with cognate and relevant working experience;
  3. Candidates should note that there other requirements that may be specific to a particular programme depending on the
    type of course;
  4. The basic requirements for Certificate Programme shall be a minimum of the JSS 3 certificate or its equivalents.

EKSU Diploma and Certificate Programmes Admission – How to Apply.

  • Candidates are to log on to the University’s website: eksu.edu.ng
  • Candidates are to pay the sum of four thousand naira only (N4.000:00) for the Certificate programmes and six thousand naira only (N6.000.00) for the Dipbma programme by the usage of ATM card (Verve/Mastercard).
  • Click on ‘Certificate programme’.
  • Click on ‘Diploma programme’.
  • Click interswitch logo for payment.
  • Enter the information requested for validation.
  • Fill in the application form and submit after completion.
  • Print a copy of the form after submission.
  • Duly completed application forms with photocopy of credentials are to be submitted to the office of the Secretary, Directorate for Human Capital Development (DHCD) of the University.
NOTE:
  • The OLevel requirements for all courses are to be obtained at not more than two sittings.
  • All advertised programmes run on weekends or evenings depending on department or course.

EKSU Sandwich Admission – Entry Requirements.

A. 4-Year Programme in any of A to C
  1. Passes at credit/merit level in two subjects at the NCE and credit passes in (five) 5 subjects at GCE O/Level including English Language or its equivalent at not more than two sittings. A pass at the NCE General English is acceptable in lieu of a credit pass at the SSCE/GCE O/Level.
  2. Three (3) passes at GCE Advanced Level plus credit passes in five (5) other subjects at GCE O/Level or SSCE
  3. National Diploma with credit/merit passes in relevant subjects plus credit passes in five (5) GCE O/Level subjects at not more than two sittings.
  4. Passes at credit level in five (5) subjects including English Language and Mathematics at the GCE O/Level with any of the following is acceptable for Computer Science Education: i. Diploma in Data Processing from recognized Universities,
  5. ND (Computer Science).
  6. Nursing and Midwifery Certificate together with five (5) O/Level credit passes including English Language for B.Sc in Physical Health Education.
  7. Nursing and Midwifery Certificate plus Post-Nursing Diploma with Credit passes in five (5) O/Level subjects including English Language and Mathematics at not more than two sittings is acceptable for B.Sc (Ed) Health Education.
B.  5-Year Programme in any of A to C except Educational Management
  1. Passes in two major subjects in the NCE plus credit passes in Five (5) subjects at GCE O/L or its equivalent. A pass at the NCE General English is acceptable in lieu of a credit pass at the SSCE/GCE O/Level English.
  2. Passes at credit/merit level in two major subjects of the Associate Diploma in Education with GCE O/Level credit passes or its equivalent in five (5) subjects at not more than two sittings.
  3. Credit/merit passes at the NCE level in two (2) major subjects with credit passes in five (5) subject at GCE O/Level or its equivalent.
  4. Passes at credit level in two (2) subjects in the NCE with credit in five (5) subjects at GCE O/Level irrespective of whether a subject is repeated at both ordinary and NCE level,
  5. Nursing and Midwifery Certificate together with O/Level credit passes in five (5) other subjects is acceptable for the B.Sc (Ed) in Physical and Health Education.
  6. The NABTEB credit/merit passes in five (5) subjects together with the Advanced Level NABTEB Certificate in any two (2) subjectsisacceptablefortheB.Sc (Ed)Technical Education.
C.  6 Years Programme in any of A to C
  1. Passes at credit/merit level in five (5) subjects including English Language in WASC/GCE O/Level at not more than two sittings.
  2. A credit pass in Mathematics is compulsory for all B.Sc (Ed) Science courses.
  3. Five credit/merit passes in five subjects including English Language and Mathematics in NABTEB is acceptable for the B.Sc (Ed) Technical Education.
D. POSTGRADUATE DIPLOMA IN EDUCATION (PGDE)
  1. Candidates with Third Class at the first degree in the Arts, Sciences or Social Sciences from an approved University are eligible for admission.
  2. HND with credit/merit passes in relevant teaching subjects.
E. MASTERS’ DEGREE (M.Ed) PROGRAMMES

EKSU Pre-Degree Admission Requirements.

Applicants seeking admission into the Pre-Degree Programmes must possess a minimum of five ‘0’ level at two sittings, including English Language; Credits Mathematics and three other Science subjects for all the Science based courses; credit in Mathematics and at least two Social Science subjects for all Social Science based courses and at least three Arts subjects for All Arts based courses. An entrance examination will be conducted to select eligible candidates for admission into the Programme.

EKSU Pre-Degree Method of Application.

i.Candidates are to log on to the University website: www.eksu.edu.ng or Portal.eksu.ng.
ii. Pay the sum of eleven thousand naira (N11,000) by the usage of ATM card (Verve or Master Card)
iii. Click on Pre-degree Application,
iv. Supply basic information requested,
v. Click on interswitch logo for payment
vi. Enter the information requested for validation,
vii. Fill the Application form and submit after completion.
viii. Print a copy of the form after submission.
ix. Attach photocopies of all credentials to the duly completed form and submit at the Directorate of Pre-Degree Programmes Office (located on the University Campus) for issuance of Examination Permit.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
a. All candidates seeking admission into the Pre-Degree Programmes must note that admission into the various programmes is not automatic.
b. Pre-Degree Students are required to take the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and obtain the National minimum UTME cut-off mark as may be fixed by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).
c. Only candidates who are successful in the internal Pre-degree Examinations conducted by the Directorate of Pre-degree Programme would be admitted into 100 level.
d. Only candidates with Examination Permits issued by the Directorate will be allowed to write the Qualifying Examination.

Ekiti State University, EKSU post UTME result for the 2015/2016 academic session is now available online.

The management of the Ekiti State University (EKSU) has released the results of candidates that participated in the just concluded post UTME screening exercise.
Candidates that participated in EKSU post UTME screening exercise can now start to check their post UTME results online.

Check EKSU Post UTME Result Online.

To check  EKSU post UTME result, candidates are to pay N1,000.00 (One thousand naira only) into the designated banks below via e-transact.  They should collect e-transact generated receipt at the point of payment.  The receipt will contain confirmation code which will be used to check result online.
Designated banks are:     Access Bank Plc,   Ecobank Plc,   Enterprise Bank Plc,   First Bank Plc,   GTB Bank Plc,   Wema Bank Plc,   Zenith Bank Plc and    UBA Plc.
After acquiring the e-transact generated receipt, candidates are to follow the procedures outlined below:
1. Go to EKSU Post UTME result checking portal at http://apply.eksu.edu.ng
2. Log-in with your existing login details on the Apply portal (i.e. the email address and password used to register for the Screening Exercise)

3. Expand the ‘Result Checking’ tab

4. Click on ‘Check’ link on POST UTME SCREENING RESULTS 2015/2016 SESSION

5. Click on ‘Print Invoice’, then proceed to the Bank to make a payment of =N= 1,000 only via Etranzact. This amount also covers Admission checking.

6. Upon successful payment, re-visit this page and log-in  at http://apply.eksu.edu.ng

7. Log in with your account details (Email address and Password) and click on ‘RESUME’ button on‘MY SAVED APPLICATIONS’

8. Enter your JAMB Registration Number, then click on ‘Show Result’.

9. Thereafter, click on ‘Print Result‘ to print your result
Note the following:
1.    This result is just for the Post – UTME and that is graded over 50.
2.    The final total grade will be made available upon confirmation of candidates UTME score.
4.    This result is provisional and it is subject to further screening.
5.    Candidates will be informed in due course if they are offered provisional admission into the University.
6.    This result is not transferrable.  It remains the property of the University who reserves the right to withdraw it if further screening reveals that it was obtained through inappropriate    means.

EKSU Postgraduate Programmes.

  1. Master of Science (M.Sc) Degree in Public Sector Governance and Administration (PGA)
  2. Master of Science (M.Sc) Degree in Corporate Governance and Management (CGM)

EKSU Postgraduate Admission Requirements.

Admission is open to candidates with a good Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university with a minimum of a Second Class Lower Division. 
2.      Master Degree in Corporate Governance and Management (CGM)
Admission is open to candidates with a good Bachelor’s degree in any field with a minimum of a Second Class Lower Division.
3.      Master Degree in Peace and Security Studies (PSS)
The Master of Science (M.Sc) degree in Peace and Security Studies is a full-time programme, which is open to candidates with a good Bachelor’s degree in any field with a minimum of a Second Class Lower Division.
4.      Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Peace and Security Studies (PSS)
Admission into the Doctor of Philosophy degree programme in Peace and Security Studies is open to candidates with a good Master’s degree from a recognized University and having a weighted average of not below 60.0 or its equivalent score in relevant or related discipline. 
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
All Candidates must possess a minimum of five credit passes at GCE/SSCE Ordinary Level (obtained at not more than two sittings) in relevant subjects including English Language and at least a P7 in Mathematics.
CREDENTIALS
Photocopies of relevant credentials including GCE/SSCE certificates, degree, diplomas, NYSC Discharge/Exemption Certificates etc must be attached to the completed application forms.       All candidates, including those who graduated from the University, must arrange for their transcripts to be sent directly to The Secretary, School of Postgraduate Studies, Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti, Nigeria:  Non-Receipt of transcripts in time is at the detriment of the applicant.

Ekiti State University, EKSU announced the resumption for the commencement of second semester, 2014/2015 academic session.

As students of the Ekiti State University (EKSU) are now preparing to complete their first semester, 2014/2015 academic session examinations which began two weeks ago, the authorities of the institution announced the resumption of academic activities for second semester. 
Academic activities for the second semester 2014/2015 Academic would commence immediately after the first semester examination.
