Management of the Benue State University is Urging the Students to pay their Schools Fees 2015/2016 Academic Session.

  1. 1. Management had previously issued statements on the need for students to live up to their obligations in the payment of school fees. Management has noted with serious concern that majority of students are yet to pay their fees thereby impeding the running and administration of the University.
  1. 2. In view of the foregoing, therefore, Management has resolved to grant a period of grace from Tuesday, 3rd – Friday, 6th January, 2017 to enable students pay their fees preparatory to commence the 2015/2016 Second Semester Examinations on Monday, 9th January, 2017.
  1. 3. Students are enjoined to take advantage of this grace period to pay their fees as defaulters shall not be allowed to write the examinations as scheduled.

Following the released of 2016/2017 Admission List, admitted students are to follow the below instructions in making necessary payments

The Guidelines on e-payment are as follows:

2. Click on E-Payment platform to open the E-Payment Form.

3. Select programme, Payment Category. Type in Registration Number, Select session or semester as applicable.

4. Click on “Generate Payment Reference” to generate payment number.

5. Click on link to proceed...

6.OPTIONS:(a). For cash payments at Bank:Visit any of the following Bank Branches nation-wide to make payment.

b. For ATM Payments: Visit any ATM machine with your ATM card and do the following:* Select Quick teller from the ATM menu* Select pay bills.* Fill in the Payment reference number generated from the E-Payment platform when you are requested to enter the Customer ID.* Fill in 04255101 when you are requested to enter the Payment Code.* Enter your GSM Number and complete the transaction.After successfully completing the payment, return to the portal to login and print out your Payment Receipt.
 

c. For payment using Quickteller from the Internet: Visit the quickteller website www.quckteller.com/bsum to complete your transaction.* Insert your Registration number* Insert your email and mobile number and click "continue".* Follow the instructions on the screen to complete your payment.* Print out the payment confirmation slip.* Return to the portal and print out a payment confirmation slip.Successful candidates who have accepted their Admission are to wait for further directives concerning resumption and registration.

BSUM Merit Admission List 2016/2017 Is Out

The Management of the Benue State University, Makurdi has released the merit list of Admissions into undergraduate degree programmes for the 2016/2017 academic session.

Candidates who applied for admission into Benue State University, Makurdi for the 2016/2017 academic session are required to do the following:

1. Check for your admission on the Benue State University Portal and print details on payment of N400using the e-payment platform (with link on the University website) or at the designated banks.

2. Proceed to pay the acceptance fee of Five Thousand, Five Hundred naira (N5,500) non-refundableto Benue State University, Makurdi using the e-payment platform or at the designated banks.

3. Proceed to do change of course on the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) website where the course admitted into is different from the course initially applied for.

The management and school authorities of the Benue state University, Makurdi (BSUM) have released the 2016/2017 Merit Admission List. The Admission List can now be accessed online on the JAMB admission status checking portal.

This is to inform all Direct Entry (DE) candidates who applied for admission into the Benue State University for the 2016/2017 academic session that a time-table has been released for the conduct of the 2016/2017 Direct Entry screening exercise.
According to the time-table, the screening exercise will take place as follows:

Eligibility
Candidates who chose Benue State University, Makurdi as their first choice are invited for the screening exercise.
Direct Entry candidates are expected to come along with the following on the screening exercise dates at the various faculties:
The screening exercise commences with online registration from Monday, 12th – Friday, 23rd September, 2016 and ends with the screening proper from Monday, 26th September, 2016 – Friday, 7th October, 2016 (See Time table above for the scheduled dates).

Candidates are expected to come along with the following on the Screening Exercise dates at the various Faculties:
  • i. Direct Entry Registration Slip.
  • ii. The printout of the 2016/2017 DE Registration form generated from the Benue State University website.
  • iii. Originals of credentials/statements of result.
  • iv. Payment slip as evidence of payment.

BSUM Screening Exercise for 2016/17 Academic Session

The Management of the Benue State University is informing the general public that Candidates who selected the institution as first choice in the 2016/2017 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and scored 180 marks and above are invited for the screening exercise.
Steps for Online Registration
  • 1. Candidates are advised to first confirm their names by searching with their UTME registration number by clicking on the UTME Screening link under Application Section on the Benue State University Website/Portal. Detail profile of the Candidate will be displayed.

  • 2. Candidates should click on the “Proceed” button to display details on Payment Reference Number, Name, etc and the various Payment Options.

  • 3. Candidates are then required to proceed to pay a non-refundable screening fee of Two Thousand, Five Hundred Naira (N2, 500) only for the screening exercise using any of the Payments Options.

  • 4. Candidates after payment are to visit the BSU Portal and under the Application Section, click the UTME Screening link to complete and print the UTME Registration Form
  • Note: Candidates are to follow any of the payment options below to make the payment.
    Payment Options for Fees/Charges
    Payment in the Banks or online will commence from Monday, 12th to Friday, 23rd September, 2016.
    Option 1: Payment at Bank: 
    Candidates who wish to use this method should proceed to any Bank Branch in the Country along with the Reference Number they generated in B.3 above. The Cashiers at the Banks are to use the Benue State University feature on Interswitch “College pay” to process the transaction.

    Option 2: Internet Banking:
    Candidates wishing to use this option are to follow any of these two ways;
    • a. On the Payment Options displayed in B.2 above, Candidates are to click on “PayOnline” button to navigate to the Interswitch Payment page. From the drop-down menu on the page, select your Card Type and enter the required Card information to make payment. Once, the transaction is completed successfully, a receipt will be generated automatically for you to print before proceeding with the UTME Registration on the BSU Portal.

    • b. Visit the Quickteller website www.quickteller.com/bsum to complete the transaction using the following steps.
      • Input your Registration number
      • Input your email and mobile number and click "continue"
      • Follow the instructions on the screen to complete your payment
      • Print out the payment confirmation slip
      • Return to the BSU Portal and print out a payment confirmation slip
    Option 3: ATM Payments: 
    Candidates can also visit any ATM with their ATM cards and do the following:
    • Select Quickteller from the ATM menu
    • Select pay bills
    • When prompted to enter the Customer ID, input the Payment Reference Number generated from the E-Payment platform
    • When prompted to enter the Payment Code, input this number 04255101
    • Enter your GSM Number and complete the transaction.
    After successfully completing the payment, return to the BSU Portal to print out the Payment Receipt
    The Screening Exercise Sessions
  • 1. The screening exercise commences with registration from Monday, 12th – Friday, 23rd September, 2016 and ends with the screening proper from Monday, 26th September, 2016 – Friday, 7th October, 2016 (See Time table for the scheduled dates).

  • 2. Candidates are expected to come along with the following on the Screening Exercise dates at the various Faculties:
    • i. The Printout of the 2016/2017 UTME Registration Form generated from the BSU Website.
    • ii. Payment Slip as evidence of payment.
    • iii. A coloured Printout of original JAMB result slip with embossed passport.
    • iv. Originals of credentials/online results.
    • v. Candidates without the 2016/2017 UTME Registration Form, coloured printout of the JAMB result with embossed passport photograph, Payment Slip and original credentials/online statement of result will not be allowed to participate in the screening exercise.
    • vi. Bank draft and cash payment receipt in the Bursary will not be accepted.
    E. The screening exercise is to be conducted by the Faculties with Deans of Faculties as Chairmen and Faculty Officers as secretaries.

    F. Deans of Faculties are to submit the screening report to the Chairman, Central Admissions Committee on or before Friday, 14th October, 2016.

    G. Submission of merit list for consideration by the Central Admissions Committee shall be on Thursday, 20th October, 2016.
