ASUU STRIKE UPDATE :Finally Called off Strike-2017

ASUU finally called of indefinite strike action following a close door meeting with federal government. Details below.

On the 18th of September 2017, 3:00pm the ASUU's delegate met with the FGN. A memorandum of understanding was reached and this effected the calling off of the ongoing strike as schools are told to resume work as from 25th of  September 2017 .

The chairman of the association said

'We  pray for journey mercies for the students as they journey back to school. We are sorry for the strike, but our rights need to be fought for. This is the only way our voice can be echoed. We apologise for whatever inconvenience it has caused. All tertiary institution is to resume back on Monday 25th of sept. We are so grateful for the support of the schools under the oneness of this association'

Though according to Channel TV, the suspension of the strike is conditional. More detail soon.
